Great set-up for independent work OR supplement for teaching reading
This was easy to set up and keep handy for my kindergartener to practice spelling words, focusing on vowels, consonants, and quite a few of the common blends. A couple of pictures I wasn't sure what they were at first, but we figured it out together (I didn't recognize the illustration for "lid" right away, for example, but my son figured out that one). It's nice to keep on the counter so that if he has a couple of mins to fill here or there he can do one on his own. We also work on them together for longer when we're working on reading skills.

Engaging
After our first round of practice, my special learner said, “If I had this at home, I would practice reading every day after school.” He had so much fun. Definitely need an adult’s coaching the first time through, and then this can be an opportunity for independent learning, building rigor and confidence.

Bought this for my five year old granddaughter. My daughter was very pleased with my purchase.

Kinda ok
Pictures aren’t in order with the letters so you have to search to get them in the right order. The stand doesn’t stay up really well with the constant flipping but it is a nice product and has a wide assortment of words and combinations.

Fun learning tool
My kids love this. They are learning to spell and are able to do it one letter at a time.

Disappointment
All the cards are numbered, but when set up.. they do not form any actual words or match with the pictures. You literally have to search across each deck to find a match. Waste of time and money. Small kids don’t have the attention span for that.
