This kit is cheap, and GREAT for beginners. The hooks are actually decent quality. I had bought some hooks at Walmart in a pack and those felt so rough when I was crocheting with acrylic the hooks in this set were SO SMOOTH and felt easier to use. The yarn is actually pretty soft, and it comes with a lot for the price. And you get a cute holding bag? The bag is kinda cheap feeling, but it works for beginners to try and see if they like crochet. I’ve become obsessed so eventually I will be upgrading but definitely a great start 🙂

Cute little zip up bag and my granddaughter loved it. Fine needles inside and larger easy to hold ones ideal for starter. Lots of acrylic bright coloured wool and stitch markers and all sorts of bits and pieces.

Too confusing

It has everything you need really, but I did want to pass on a tip that someone passed on to me that really helped me. If you struggle to figure out how to hold the yarn tight enough, try a crochet ring! I wish this set included something like that, but its still a GREAT kit. The yarn is decent but don't expect to do any serious projects with it, not because it isn't good yarn, but because there isn't a lot of it, and there are only a few colors. You can make some small things to help you learn crochet and knitting techniques though. It's a great practice kit and very portable.
