Anti Dilution System
So this item consists of six molds in three colors. The colors are yellow, green, and orange. Since each corresponding lid is of the same color and each lid has a silk-screened depiction of a citrus fruit cut in half, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say this is a lemon, Lime, and orange-themed item. But it isn't. The colors are just there so that you can remember what you froze in each mold. That wasn't obvious though, and it took a while before I figured out what this thing is supposed to do. Stay tuned for that information.I filled all of the molds with water, put the lids on, and popped them into the freezer. The next day a couple of the lids had loosened themselves and three of the molds were swollen due to the well know expansion of water when it freezes. I removed the remaining lids and started to remove the ice from the molds. They don't come out willingly. The molds are quite stiff, so you can't just turn them inside out like you can with some other molds. I got some of them to start to come out, but they didn't want to come over the top edge of the mold. I finally waited and ran warm water over the outside of the mold and they fell out into my hand.So now I had six short cylinders of ice. How nice. What exactly is the point of this exercise? I reread the writeup of the item in Amazon and a single phrase caught my eye. It was, "each of ice cube molds with individual removable lids to prevent dilution to maintain the original taste of the drink." So the idea is not to freeze water. It's to freeze some of the same liquid that you're going to put these into. (Although they also mention filling them with water, and you're not going to be able to freeze liquor no matter what you do.)So this is my inferred use for these. You fill them with Coke, Bai, lemonade, or whatever. The lids keep the liquid from spilling out on the way to the freezer, and the colors help you to remember what's in each mold. After removing them from the molds and storing them in the freezer, you use them to cool the corresponding drink without diluting it.Voila! That's all there is to it! Enjoy.

NOT silicone. NOT 2.5 inch, Frustrating release.
NOT soft silicone. These are hard plastic, and impossible to push out cubes without hot water. The cubes themselves are only 1.75 inch diameter and seem very small. (barely 2 oz. liquid) Total waste of time/energy and freezer space. Not useful for water bottles. Very fiddly and frustrating.Might be ok for other small quantities of liquids. Not worth returning. Don't bother.

Hard plastic. Hard to get ice out
Smaller than it says.. and they are hard plastic. You can't push on the bottom to get the ice out. You have to melt it somewhat sometimes slides out.

Hard to get ice out
These are so hard to get the ice out. I have to run them under hot water and melt them down… not silicone. More like a semi hard plastic….

Not silicone
These are not silicone but normal hard plastic

does not come out of the container easily
I like the size of the ice cubes (it fits into a wide mouth insulated bottle), but I was hoping it would be more flexible such that I could push or squeeze the container to get the ice out. Unfortunately, it's a stiff plastic, and so you have to waste warm running water to melt the surface area to remove the ice. Or, if you're not in a hurry, you could leave it on your counter to give it time to defrost.I am giving it two stars for the size of the ice, and that all the containers are separate so you can put them in different nooks of a full freezer. But I'm deducting 3 stars because it's so hard to release.

Hard to defrost
I put it in mine in microwave for 20 sec to soften a little works this way easier

Don't buy
They don't come out had to put in hot water to get it to release the ice
