Excellent. I'm normally too busy to write reviews but I'm super happy with my current audio setup thanks to the W5. This is the second time Creative made a product for an uncommon setup that I really needed to get the ideal configuration with the hardware. The last one was an audio dock/converter that allowed you to receive full surround sound via optical/coaxial cable with your 5.1/7.1 computer speaker system, brilliant. This dongle allows you to use Bluetooth with your Windows PC. Sounds dumb on the surface, like who's using a modern pc without Bluetooth? Wrong, I do enjoy using Windows over the years but the Bluetooth support is kind of awful and just barely there in terms of functionality, even basic stuff is buried deep in the old Control Panel instead of Settings. Anyway this product allowed me to get proper Bluetooth support that doesn't disconnect every so often or act weird because I accidentally tried to use the microphone (Windows just can't seem to do audio in and out at the same time at reasonable quality, despite Bluetooth supporting the standards for decades and getting better every few years). It's kind of jank sometimes but that could be the specific Bose Ultra Open ears I use. I use these while I'm at work because for my job I need to be able to hear if people need me. I've tried other open earphones and of course transparency mode on popular wireless earbuds and none of them work as well for my job or sound as good as these do. And sound good they do thanks to the W5 supporting multiple codecs and having several options. I mentioned some jank but I found the perfect solution I've been using for 4 days so far with zero issues or features not working. I plug the dongle in and immediately turn on my Bose ultras (by taking them out of the case) and they work 100% of the time. Before I tried leaving the dongle plugged in and would get issues connecting half the time. Not a problem anymore. They sound just as good connected to the pc or phone. The options can make the earbuds sound even better. I usually avoid audio presets but I tried the gaming preset and it sounds very good. Makes it sound more full, which is great for an open ear earbud. I work in a college, so imagine tons of wifi signals coming from the access points as well as students and signal strength is great.

I don't usually leave reviews but I had to for this product. This is genuinely the best adapter I've ever used. I hate that most wireless headphones, especially the Skullcandy Crusher ANC 2, don't come with a 2.4ghz dongle and always cut out on my PC. This completely fixed that problem, plus the audio sounds way better now. Just keep in mind that I don't think this works for anything other than audio. It is very easy to use. All I did was plug it in and press the button, and it instantly connected to my headphones. Windows recognized it right away too. The range is also amazing. I walked all the way downstairs and outside of my house, and they were still connected and not even lagging! The latency is great, though honestly I don't really notice a difference between the low latency and high quality modes when it comes to the delay or the sound. I just keep it on low latency anyway. Even though it's $35, I highly recommend getting this over any other Bluetooth adapters for PC. Thank you for putting your hard work into a product that actually makes Bluetooth devices worth using again.

It plugs in and is detected - and passes audio to a Bluetooth headphone (does not work with AirPods of any kind - Bluetooth will not sync or even detect the AirPods even if using a computer). This does NOT support voice chat or Mic on PS5 at all. This is also not a Bluetooth dongle, it’s basically a sound card with a Bluetooth interface with specific use cases. Software works for changing settings and pairing devices, but very limited use cases despite what the marketing says. Avoid this product at all costs.

You know how when your looking at an item, Amazon shows you that there's a newer version available? Well, it didn't with this item. So, get the W6! Now, this works EXCELLENTLY. Even though Creative says not to use this with a smartphone, I've done exactly that. Samsung and Microsoft both hate Qualcomm, so getting a unit like the BT-W6 (!!!) is a good idea if you have some high quality headphones. (Yeah, there are no Bluetooth headphones for audiophiles, because it does some compression). I'm very pleased to be using a higher quality aptX codec with my laptop and phone.

For those bummed out because the product details say it can't connect to an iphone, do NOT spend 2x the money on a Sennheiser aptX adapter. Plug the dongle into a laptop or mac and download the creative app. Then, pair your headphones to the dongle (through the app) and test a song on the laptop (Might need to reset the dongle once, not hard). Then, plug the dongle into your iphone. When it asks "Are you trying to connect headphones?" press YES. Go on apple music and route the audio to the dongle. The sound will play perfectly from an iPhone, and I can stream hi-res lossless!

While the audio quality is fantastic with my Cambridge audio melomania headphones, Here is the problem: All of Creatives product presentation of the BT-W-5 is conflating it with a $10 more expensive BTw6. In other words the BTW-5 packaging lists BT w6 features that don't exist on the BTW-5. Also Amazon advertising lists features for the BTW5 that are only on the BTW 6. Also the instruction manual for the BTW5 list the ability to connect the BTW-5 to the creative app. That is a feature reserved for the BTW6 therefore the BTW-5 cannot connect to the Creative app. This creates way too much confusion for the consumer and should be corrected by Amazon as well as Creative. I kept four stars for the audio performance and took off one for terribly misleading advertising on Amazon and product documentation. Also, the range where I have mounted low is not more than 20 to 25 feet before breakup occurs. It is mounted 1 foot off the floor in my desktop Windows 10 computer. The range may increase if raised to a higher level of 4 to 6 feet. Yes, I raised the dongle to shoulder level and I'm good to about 35 ft and through two walls without breakup.

I purchased these to play FPS games. They come nicely package and an instruction booklet. I don't have a native USB C port on my pc so I purchased an extra fast USB A to USC B dongle. Everything works great and on the app you can choose which Codec you want. I prefer low latency over quality as I play FPS games. Thei website say that you should get 60 ms delay but I can tell you it's noticeable. For other games it's fine, even watching videos or movies, you don't feel any out of sync. It's not made for FPS gaming though, I can feel that very subtle delay everytime I shoot. It's not a deal breaker for me though as now I can connect my headsets and my airpods at the same time. I now use it mostly for movies or when I work out at home. Aptx High quality is amazing and it's great if you love to listen to music at high quality. Sometimes it bugs out and fails to connect to my airpods. But a simple unplug and plug again fixes the issue. Great product and Great price for what it does. Highly reccommend.

I got this with the sole purpose of being able to hook up my technics earbuds. I will say that it really couldn't be easier to install. It's literally plug and pair and play. But I started playing COD and wow there's a massive delay in sound and I couldn't find anything online that I could do to fix it. Very disappointing. It does however have spatial audio which is nice.

Truly blown away by the improvement in sounds quality from stock pc Bluetooth connection. Also it just works, plug it into ps5, windows pc, macbook you name it, it works like a charm, no headaches. Absolutely worth the cost.

Cumple con su función, transmite aptX Adaptive correctamente y de manera estable, el único pero que le pongo, y la razón del por qué las 4 estrellas y no 5, es que el pairing mode podría ser mejorado a nivel indicaciones.

I have an older dongle like this, yet it's still bt 5.3 and this one works so much better! It works flawlessly with airpods pro and PX8 headphones I've tried with it so far. No flakiness, the other one had issues with low latency mode - this one does not. It is also very easy to use, thanks to having software, which my other dongle did not either. And it has a built-in EQ, and other options (tons of presets for games, which I may never use, but I did get it for gaming so nice to have) -- allowing you to adjust all the settings. Really happy I bought 2, tested on PC & PS5 -- all good!

Please note that the BT-W5 does not come with a USB-A adapter, so it is not compatible with the PS4 out of the box. Such a shame - was really looking forward to wireless headset gaming on the PS4.
