The craft is very fun to make. A little difficult for the recommended age so If you are buying it for a younger child they will definitely need a lot of help. The dinosaur is very cute and no matter what age, if you are a beginner to sewing/crochet this will be a fun introduction.

I have been crocheting blankets for many years and taught my son to crochet at his request. I thought this would be a great kit for him to use but it has proven a little too difficult for both of us. I'm sure for a more experienced crocheter this wouldn't be an issue, but I would not say this is a good kit for a beginner.

This dino crochet kit is so cute and would make a great gift. Unfortunately my box came completely smashed up so would not have been gift able but that has more to do with poor packaging than the product. The kit comes with everything you need to make you creation. There are some instructions but if you are very new, I'd definitely recommend watching some youtube tutorials. The kit says it can be for older kids, but I'd think they would still need help. Overall, pleased with the product and would recommend.

The kit is cute, but the instructions are hard to follow. It did not feel like a good beginner kit--there are descriptions of the stitch types, but they're not very clear. The pattern is written in a method I haven't seen before, and it's tricky to figure out which stitches go where. I think the kit is fine, but it's not good for true beginners.

Our 8 year old daughter really enjoyed doing the owl sewing kit during summer break. The materials are quality and it is easy enough to do the kit with a little adult supervision. No complaints

I don't know why it says "Knit" when it is clearly a crochet kit.I'm not sure if this is beginner friendly, either.I am a newbie to the "yarn arts" and I have to tell you, this didn't exactly make me want to do more.I was confused by the terms. I'm a lefty, so that doesn't help.It seems to have what you need to crochet a unicorn, but I kind of gave up. I might pick it up again, but it just may not be my thing.
