I built a bookshelf for my grandson and wanted adjustable shelves. This jig did the trick. Very easy to use, and a lot of adjustability. I have other tools by goingmake and they all are well made and affordable.

I had a project where I was extending the depth of the bottom half of a bookcase I had made out of pre-drilled MDF from Home Depot. The original bookcase was 11" deep x 10' high. The extended depth of the bottom is to be used to hold audio gear and needed to be 18" depth, front to rear. I was able to increase the depth but had to insert additional panels on the left and right so that shelf pins could be installed. I needed a shelf pin jig to do that, and this jig was perfect for the job.After completing my holes and mounting some shelves I was pleased that the alignment with the inner portion of the shelf was perfect and the distance between holes lined up exactly as with the original panels from Home Depot.The jig is high quality fabricated aluminum, not plastic, and it comes with two drill bits, and stop and Allen wrench, including an instruction manual, all in an attractive plastic case.The jig is well worth the modest price and I would definitely recommend it for drilling shelf clip holes.

This works really well for drilling out shelf pins! The drill bit that comes with it is a good quality bit, and the holes in the metal block are very strong, The drill bit doesn't even come close to cutting into them. I have drilled about 1000 holes with it so far, and it still works as good as it did when it was brand new! I would definitely recommend this over the plastic ones. It's very easy to use, as well.

likes, all aluminum construction, seems very accurate and uses more sturdy 1/4 inch shelf pins instead of the 5mm onescomes with 2 bits which is a huge plus the competition makes you buy the 1/4 drill and only is set up for 5mm to start.this jig will work along side, for now, my other jigdislike is the fact it only has 1/4 pin capability not a deal killer in any way, and it has "pins" to support the jig on the edge again this is both an advantage and disadvantage as you can change the depth of where the pins are located BUT if you are making something smaller the jig may not calibrate consistently.on another positive you can replace the bits easily and commonly as they are not proprietary and simply standard 1/4 inch bitsthis will be a fine addition to my other goingmake tools and future ones

Great jig for bookcase shelf pin alignment and drilling. I appreciate that everyrhing fits in a storage case. The hig itself is very well made, sturdy and markings are easy to read.Caution: This jig will only drill holes for 1/4 shelf pins. If you want a jig for both 1/4 and 5mm, this isn't it.

This works well easy to use when you setup the pattern you need for replication of repeated rows of holes thick well made happy with the product for what it does makes very precise for such a simple tool

This works very well for drilling holes for adjustable shelves. It is NOT a cheap flimsy thing. I have drilled hundreds of holes with it and it will drill hundreds if not thousands more.
