Maison Alhambra Cassius for Men - 3.4 oz EDP Spray

This is crazy close to Carlisle. I really like Carlisle a lot and this really is super close. Opening is where the quality differences are noticeable. After a few minutes it’s spot on. Definitely worth every penny. Strong projection first two hours, then moderate for another 3 or so. I would buy this again.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:First of all would I buy it again. Yes I would. I was really surprised that I like it as much as I do. The notes I definitely pick up are warm spice, woody, amber and vanilla. I do think it’s a mature scent for maybe the 30 and older crowd.

It resembles Carlisle accurately but the depth isn’t there. Also, it has a very strong nail polish scent lingering in the background and sticks close to the skin. With all that said, I decided to shower myself in 3 layers with about 15 sprays total and got a ton of compliments when I went out. Maybe it’ll be stronger with maceration and I won’t have to shower myself in itEdit: Two month update: this stuff is pretty beast mode now. I just did 3 sprays and it lasted 8-10 hours and projected almost way too much. It smells more luxurious and closer to Carlisle now, the only con is that it’s missing depth and still has a nail polish scent to it

The box and bottle says I'm classy and mysterious. For the price, quality, and longevity, this rendition of Parfum de Marly Carlisle is the way to go.The initial spray is like seasoned wood burning in a fireplace. Smokey and warm. This was intriguing. I wasn't sure how to feel. I prefer more of the fresh and clean scents but wanted to try something that has been highly recommended.Thank goodness for the dry down! The sweetness finally came through along with spices and other scents reminiscent of incense, smoke, apple, bergamot, and pink pepper.I'm thinking maceration would be a good idea for this. In the meantime, if you plan to wear this, spray about 60-90 minutes before your destination. The wearability will hold up and it just gets better and better with the dry down.Enjoy

Man oh man. This is horrible. Bottle came broken and leaked everywhere which what ever these things happen. The smell is the real star of this tragedy. My god is it awful. I have 61 bottles of fragrances and the reaction my fiancé gave was the first. He words were "omg you don't plan on wearing that do you" and for reference shes such a sweet woman that if she doesn't like a new fragrance she says "it's ok". This one however was a plea for me to never consider wearing it it's that bad. Heres what it smells like go to a smoke shop and grab a bag of those cone incense. The cheaper the better. Then stick your nose deep in the bag and inhale vigorously. That is a 1:1 example on the scent this is. I've never smelled the original from PDM but if anyone disagrees with my review of this product then that brings up a whole other issue that I got a fake of a clone which would just be sad.

A fairly decent dupe of Carlisle, but I found it lacked complexity & richness, and the performance was a bit weak.I wound up replacing this with Tafakhar by Ard Al Zaafaran, a richer and longer lasting scent IMO.This was not one a favorite from Alhambra - I've been far happier with several others.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This is a better clone of "Carlisle" than "Tafakhar" could ever hope to be...and is in-between "Carlisle" and "Mystery Tobacco". While it does have a similarity to "Red Tobacco", this is MUCH more wearable. "Red Tobacco" just wears you out after a while because even at one spray...it's SO powerful!! I've been wearing my first bottle of "Red Tobacco" less and less because of that, and wearing "Exclusif Tabac" and "Mystery Tobacco" more and more.I've still got a whole other 2019-batch bottle of RT in the closet...lol.Having just finished my last bottle of "Mystery Tobacco" I'm ready to move on from that fragrance and look to cheaper alternatives...and "Cassius" feels juuuuuuust right! It's not as bright in the opening as "Mystery Tobacco", but it also puts a niiiice smooth and sweet VANILLA tune into the fragrance that makes it AMAZING!!Hopefully this doesn't get discontinued like "Exclusif Tabac"...in fact....I better pick up a backup bottle just in case!!This is too good to miss out on.
