Easy to use!
Very handy! This new square has a learning curve, but after familiarizing myself with all its features, I am becoming increasingly dependent on it.

Very useful, cool design, great gift
I bought one for myself awhile back and loved it, bought this for my dad for Father’s Day. He loves it. Great gift idea for the person who already has all the tools.

Decent
I want to like this but I find myself using my traditional speed square still. If I was doing repeat rafter tail cuts or something it would be worth getting out but its too big to carry all day everyday for basic framing etc. Little pricey considering how much I use it. It does have a ton of functionality and is well made.

Innovative square
Disclaimer: I’m not by any means a professional woodworker, just a hobbyist, so take this review with that in mind. This is a very innovative and multifunctional square that seems to combine a lot of the functionalities of other squares like a speed square and a combination square. Due to the features mentioned below, this can even be used for metalworking. Construction quality is excellent, and uses what seems to be very thick aluminum with lasered marks, and only a few bits of plastic. It's far easier to use compared to a speed square to get the right angle. With a speed square, you're kinda eyeballing the exact angle on say a 2x4 as the mark is above the edge, especially with slightly curved edges of the wood. Plus the thing is going to be potentially sliding and slipping around as you’re marking since the only thing keeping it aligned is a corner and variable pressure from your hand. Not so here. You set the angle on the slider bar, press it against the workpiece, mark the line, and done. It's not going anywhere while you're marking, and the angle is going to be guaranteed precise. None of the other speed squares or their derivatives that I could find had this sort of functionality, and is likely why this one is patented.Speaking of angles. You can set any angle from 0-90, but there are a number that have hard detents that 'click' into place for faster indexing. They are 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 22.5, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85 and 90.For setting the angle, there’s a spring loaded pin with a push button lever. You can customize how freely it moves on the rail, or lock it in (for example when using a non-standard angle) by using the thumb screw. As the manufacturer’s video shows, after marking your angle, you can just move the square over a bit and use it as a fence. In fact if you know what your saw’s distance from edge of shoe to the blade is, you can use your scribed line as an origin, and move the square an exact amount using its ruler as a reference. Extremely convenient and foolproof. There’s a bunch of other features - two built in levels, ability to use it to find plumb, a very neat pivot pin on one side that one can use to quickly and easily draw circles, and so on.Also included is an automatic carpenters pencil and 7 heavy duty leads for it, 4 black and 3 yellow. The pencil’s top, as a nice touch, has a removable lead sharpener so that your lines are stay slim and exact. The only downside that I could see is that it is by its nature heavier and bulkier than a typical speed square, so do keep that in mind if that matters to you especially in the field. The price is honestly in my opinion quite reasonable, especially when comparing against some of the other speed square derivatives.Very recommended.

It's such an innovative tool
Let me just say that when this product was made, it was made as a solution to a recurring issue in mind. They took a precision tool and super upgrade it and now it's a super precision tool. This tool is very useful if and when you're needing to cut multiple woods for like a truss - because you can be sure that after you've set it to the angle you need it at, you can 100% of the time get the right angle marked. There's no worrying of forgetting the angle because you can set it and leave it until you move it. It even comes with built in levels and that can help eliminate having to carry extra tools when you're trying to get to the roof. It also comes with a really neat mechanical pencil that was also designed for precision markings. I would like to believe that when they made this square, they made sure that this will be the only square you will ever need.

I wish I had one of these 10 years ago
I've been a fence builder and metal fabricator for over 15 years so there's not very many tools I don't have for my industry. Saw this and didn't fully understand what it was until I got it in my hands and now I wish I had one years ago. Most non-standard cuts I've done by straight edge lines but repeating this for multiple cuts you need to start from scratch. While I know how to read the angles on a carpenter square it's a lot easier if you're able to have a square with a fixed angle for repeating cuts. It also allows you to find the grade of anything with this tool and a string line. I've already used it for making boots for posts that are anchored into concrete that's not level. Made repeating the process much more simple. As far as the tool itself, it's made out of thick aluminum stock as good as my favorite pocket square. The bubble levels are housed in plastic but I'm pretty sure that was to cut weight more than cost because this thing is solid. YouTube has a lot videos for finding even more uses of this tool and how it fits your purposes.

Falsely advertised as Made in USA
Listing states the country of origin is USA. FALSE. Box says made in China, Designed in USA. Purposely bought it and paid considerably more than other products based on it being Made in USA. It is nice but giving it 1 star rated due to this false listing.
