Dakapal Official Size 5 Indoor Competitive Volleyball, Professional Soft Volleyball (Without Pump)

I never thought I'd say this but these Dakapal V4000 volleyballs edged out my previous fav Mikasa VQ2000.I have the V4000s in several colors and I really like the way they are constructed. Surface has some much appreciated texture [not slick] to it, and it's softer to the touch than many other balls I've tried out. The Dakapal holds air well, and has held up to a lot of hitting in several indoor matches. Though I'd never heard of Dakapal before, I'm glad I took a chance on this ball, and if you do the same I think you may feel the same. Hope this helps...

We love to play outdoor volleyball when we have large gatherings and it gets pretty competitive amongst the adults. We will tone it down when we include the kids. We use a professional ball and the young adults and kids comment on how the ball hurts their hands. We decided to get a softer ball and try it with the younger crowd. This ball is really nice to hit and play with. It is soft and easy to control. Everyone has commented about how nice it is to play with. The kids now have more fun playing and will play for a longer time. So far we have not had any issues with wear and tear or damage from hard hits. It has been wet multiple time from landing in the swimming pool and still plays great.Other than sore muscles and joints at the end of the day, we have had no issues. We love this ball.

My daughter is in a volleyball league, so a good volleyball is required for her practicing at home or going to the park to practice with some of her teammates. This is a good, solid ball. It has a good positive seal on the needle valve - so you can easily pump it, and it also maintains its pressure.The manufacturer recommends that you inflate to 5lbs. That is what we have ours at. Of course, it's your ball, so outside of a tournament, you can vary the pressure as makes sense for you.It does come essentially flat (hence the description warning of "without pump"). If you do not have an appropriate pump, you will need to add that as well (plenty available on Amazon).Overall, a really nice ball that should serve my daughter well for a long time.

The volleyball arrives flat (deflated). Please be sure you have a air pump because this does not come with one. It was really easy to put air into the ball. I really like how soft the ball is. So far so good, there's no leaks and it seems to be holding up well. The color coordination is also very nice and subtle. Looking forward to playing many volleyball games with this ball. It's also reasonably priced.
