I've only been using the lathe and turning for about a year. The first set of tools I purchased where longer and bulky. I like these tools because they are shorter and easier to use. I use these on alumilite resin blanks to make Diamond Art Pens. They are sharp, work great, and exactly what I need. I would recommend this product.

i found the set to be good quality. handle length is just right. the cutters are excellent and easy to change. you can rotate the cutters o expose a new section of the cutter

Excellent quality the carbide is razor sharp. I put them through some hard use and they’re still shower. I’ve cut some Corian. I love these things and the price is great. Excellent excellent tools.

I am learning to use a lathe at a makerspace, unfortunately the turning tools have turned up missing. I am still very interested in continuing my journey so I got this inexpensive set.They aren't as large or as stable as the original set but they seem every bit as sharp. I suspect an experienced carver could tell many more differences but I don't know why an experienced carver would be looking at a set that costs less than half of just one of their tools.In summary I think these will work just fine for the beginner to casual wood lathe user.

With these three knives you'll have allbyou need to make most small articles.

I originally bought this set because it was in a case, my shop is very dusty and a decent case is important to me. The case on the original was bad, large gaps and you would have to force it closed. I returned the first and the replacement is just as bad!!!

set of 3 carbide turning tools in a nice wooden storage box. Comes with wrenches needed to exchange and rotate the carbide inserts. It would have been nice if it include an extra set of inserts.
