I've been on a jade rockhounding kick of late, and needed a gemstone light that works in daylight to help me identify potential rocks to take home. This gemstone light from YZYOE is perfect for both daytime and nighttime use as it has 2 white light settings for luminescence and 3 black/blue light settings for UV detection. The kit comes with a USB-C charging cable and 2 small fittings to put on the ends if you need a smaller diameter or more focused light. The high level for standard white light is very visible in daylight. There is also a 365nm and 395nm black light for UV detection if you are using at night for different minerals, scorpions, dog urine, etc. There is also a blue light, but honestly, I never use it for rockhounding. Overall, I'm very pleased with the light output on the gem light. I will say that it can chew through the battery within 4-5 hours of constant use. You can bring a backup battery for recharging though if you are planning on using for more than say 4 hours of intermittent use. I think that the quality of the build so far is good as I've been consistently using it for the past month with no issues. Love this light!

I have had this light for awhile. Holds a good charge although as time goes on needs more frequent charge. Light is extremely bright, however now it seems the red "bulb" never goes off. It's not shining but the red light is visible at all times. This happened after several months of use. Still works wonderfully otherwise.

I remember reading about people complaining about this breaking pretty quickly. It does get hot fast. I do not run mine for more than a few minutes or when it is noticeably hot. So, it's probably a large contribution to why people say these break quickly. Battery does not last long on full brightness. You can turn it down a lot though by holding the button. However, It only takes about 10 minutes to charge from dead, so clearly not a large battery. Originally, I purchased this for viewing gemstones with UV. But now I mostly look at my terrariums at night with the red light. It is a good flashlight, but you do not want to keep it on, it is for using a variety of wavelengths, briefly. I would recommend using it for a few minutes on and then letting it cool off for a few minutes or switch sides often.

Unfortunately I received a defective device that doesn't charge. I loved this light and used it a lot. It arrived fully charged and had a very long battery life so I didn't need to charge it for the first three months, so by the time I realized it didn't take a charge it was outside the returns window, making it basically a disposable device. I'm sad because besides that, it was an excellent light.

I have used it for a few months now and it works great. The battery lasts a very long time and there's an indicator letting you know the battery level. It is USB charging. There are several lightbulbs to choose between so it depends what you need it for. I use it for looking for glowing glass so I really only use the 395 and 365 black light and they both work well. It was hard to find a light that has both. Its a little long for my preference but it still usually fits in my pants pocket. I discovered you don't have to click through all of the modes to turn it off just simply click the button on the reverse side once and it will turn off. Helpful to know if you're turning off and on a lot. Very happy with my purchase.
