Great knife for the money!
What a great knife for the money.I was skeptical before I bought it because I didn’t trust the Damascus pattern was real. I was ready to ship it back the moment I…., well, I can’t tell if the pattern is real. LOL. If it’s laser etching, they must have done a fantastic job. The pattern is subtle, wavy, and, of course, beautiful! Unlike other made-in-China Damascus-y patterns - they must have just painted them. The pattern goes all the way to the spine, which usually is a telltale sign for the real thing.The blade comes with crazy sharpness. The spine tapers down as it gets closer to the edge and tip, which is the proper blade geometry. Wonderful polishing job!If I have to nitpick, the fitting between the wood handle and ferrule can use a bit more attention. I can’t vouch for its long-term use either since I just got it.This is now my preferred brand if it holds up.

Makes prep a breeze
Bought this as a first chef's knife for my son as a Christmas gift. It is amazing! I purchased this on the recommendation of my brother in-law who is a chef who was given quite a budget for recommendations and he chose this one. No regrets whatsoever.
