Flew through this book - dogs and Greece my favourites!
I’ve read all of Sue Roberts books and this is my favourite so far. There is romance, sun, cheeky furry friend appearances and of course Greece. Couldn’t put it down, highly recommend if you’re a lover of beach reads and animals as this combines both!

Richly descriptive
This book picked me up and packed me off to the beautiful island of Crete which is never a bad thing, and I was in my element soaking up the sun and settings that I encountered. The standout feature of the story for me was the vividly descriptive writing that evoked the tantalising sights and smells of the island in such detail that I felt that I was right there with Tania on her adventures. Every nuance was finely portrayed for our reading pleasure and I was there for each and every moment.Tania was an extremely likeable character and I was routing for a swoon worthy 'happy ever after' for her, from the outset, and I wasn't disappointed. Cue Nicos and his dark and dazzling Greek charms, and we have a love interest that didn't smoke the pages but sizzled softly as the narrative weaved on.The rest of characters were vast, varied and carried eclectic charm to add extra sparkle to the storyline. They certainly created a warm welcome to Crete and I was sad to see the story come to an end. There's Something About Greece is richly descriptive and a feast for the senses. I have a soft spot for this author and this story did not disappoint.

A perfect summer read for animal lovers
If you're looking for a summer beach read with holiday vibes then this is it!I have never been to Greece but when flipping through the pages of this book I felt like I was there in the sea and sun living my best Mamia Mia life. This was my first Sue Roberts book and it was a real feel good read. I adore animals so I loved the rescue shelter element. Tania has a close relationship with her Aunt Judith but the found family aspect with the shelter volunteers was a favourite aspect. And Nicos! The Greek God! Tania has been unlucky in summer romance before so is cautious to begin - expect a sloooow burn. But what I loved is no third act breakup! Just two adults saying it how it is!

Mediterranean fabulousness
I love Sue Roberts books and couldn’t wait to get my hands on There’s Something About Greece. In her latest novel we are transported to the beautiful island of Crete as Tania heads out to the island to help her Aunt Judith at her animal rescue centre. After being unlucky in love, this could be the holiday that changed her life. If you’re after hot Mediterranean sun, fun, friendship, family and a hot Greek love interest then this is the book for you. I loved every page. Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture and the author for the chance to review.

Fabulous
Tania isn’t living the best life in the UK.When she speaks to her aunt, she mentions that she could use some help at the sanctuary where she has dogs and other animals. To Tania it’s the perfect answer, she can work out what she wants to do whilst there. So she’s off on her own adventure. She meets Nico, her aunts neighbour, who’s willing to help out too when needed.Over the weeks of her being there, she begins to have feeling for Nico, now she has to make a decision, is she ready to go back home or can she stay, in Crete forever.I loved the setting, the cuisine which made your mouth water and the characters.I highly recommend this book.

A must-read this summer
As a huge fan of books set in Greece, this one is up there with my favourites. Not only is it set on Crete, one of my favourite places in the world, but the author brings the setting to life. The characters are great as they weave in an out of the book. What a pity that Brexit has put an end to the spontaneity of living and working in the EU. Luckily we can escape vicariously and live our lives though books. Can thoroughly recommend as a must-read this summer.
