Awesome and simple. Mount your monitor on a stand with a grip head.

5/8 mounting stud is too short
Its cheap, its simple, its strong. it even has a safety stop to prevent a monitor from falling thru a loose grip head so I should love it... so what is there to not like ? the 5/8 stud is TOO SHORT ! the monitor is basically right up against the grip head. That means if you want to mount batteries on the monitor, depending on mount design, they may or may not fit because the monitor isn't far enough away from the grip head to clear the batteries. if they make a ver thats 2-3 " longer, get that one instead unless you 100% know for sure that this short stud will not be a problem. UPDATE : Filmtools has another version with a 6" pin, this one has a 4" pin so be careful what you buy because they don't clarify there are at least 2 versions of this product, maybe 3.
