Unexpected System Crash. Recovered On "Reset" Fix, But Issue Still Persists
"Problem": Tablet Had Lasted, Over The 12 Month Warranty, But Then Without Warning, Crashed/Hung On The Goggle Android Operating System, During Browsing Session, And "Failed" To Recover From Subsequent Reboot. Tablet Failed To Respond To Subsequent Power Up. Probably Had Only Used 30 - 50 Times. Have Not Always Had A Good Experience With Tablets, But They Tend To Normally Be Fairly Reliable."Solution": Thought That Cache Memory, Or Something May Have Been Possibly Corrupted. Very Bizarre, But Can Sometimes Happen, And Is Always Worth A Shot. Done A "Reset" And Tablet Then Rebooted. "Reset" Switch (Hole In Case). Should Be Written On Enclosure. Normally Can Only Be Accessed With A Pin, And Will Feel Clicking On Activation. May Fix An Unexpected Tablet Failure, Without Throwing In The Bin.10.1 Fusion Tablet Has A Reasonable Screen Display, And Performance Is Also Satisfactory, For The Price. Would Not Stress Tablet Too Much, As I Don't Think The Performance Is There. Browsing Is Normally Stable,But Expect Lag If More Than a Few Windows Open. I Have Found That There Is A Lot Of System Memory Getting Used, Between Android Operating System, Google Play Services, Play Store Etc. (Nearly 900MB of The Total 1GB). This Is Far Too Much, And Don't Understand Why This Should Be So High. This Is Now Doubt Responsible For Glitching. Should Plays Average Spec Apps Games Ok. Worth The Purchase If Not Too Expensive (£60-£70). Not Top End Obviously, But Is Good For a Spare Tablet To Rotate With. Battery Life Is Not Great (3-4 Hours). Tablet Is Probably Near 4* To The Nearest Star, In My Opinion. Not Really Totally Satisfied With Build, As It Seems To Now Require A " Reset" To Restore, As "Reboot Is Failing". Don't Really Want To Factory Reset, As It Might Not Fix Issue. Have Been Using For Mainly Browsing/ Average Spec Games, And As A Spare Go Between Tablet. Could Easily Reduce Review To 3* On Ongoing Issue. Overall 3.5 - 4* Max. Only Purchase If Price Is Right. Better Bought As A Spare Tablet.

Performance. What performance?
Let my start by saying after about 5 hour use I'm already tempted in a return due to 'Performance not adequate'.There are a few reviews on here that state some apps crash and others run relatively smooth. It's a lottery. I noticed this within 5 minutes. The performance when running twitter was for a better word non existent, the feed lagging behind the swipe of my finger. However when playing a simple 2D game it didn't run too bad. For £90 I wasn't expecting miracles but when you can pick up an iPad Mini 2 for just £40 more I was expecting something... anything. When opening up the 'Recent Apps tab' it takes a good 5+ seconds to find itself and then a few more to register your selection and close an app. I've never known a standard tablet UI be so slow on the uptake. It's a shame because the overall look and feel of the device is pretty good, the screen is nice enough to enjoy games, video and images. The rear camera was better than expected (I won't talk about the front facing though). The 10.1" screen is a great size, colours are sharp and pop on full brightness. The feel of the screen itself isn't something I loved at first, the plastic grainy feel but got used to it fairly quickly. This might just be me but I was surprised to find the back of the tablet was a shiny plastic when it looks very much like a matte aluminium in the images. For those audiophiles out there the speakers are... acceptable, you won't be rocking out to crystal clarity but they do the job, not the worst I've heard, not the best.I attempted to give the tab the benefit of the doubt and went into developer settings to limit some of the performance draining qualities, animations etc. Didn't make much of a difference. Again it's a real shame but just the sheer performance lets it down, whether it be the CPU or 1GB RAM. A bug bear of mine is the fact that the 'lower volume button' is on the right but 'raising volume button' is on the left, which is the first I've heard of in tablet design. Also I wasn't too amazed by the AC adapter and USB cable kind of just thrown in the box with the couple of dented papers and empty scrunched up bags in the "unopened box". I also noticed a slight scratch on the screen which was fairly invisible but still there on a "Brand New" device never the less. I planned to use this as just a media tablet for light use, the odd game, nothing demanding but to be honest I'm struggling to see if it can even do that never mind in 2+ years from now.Overall, this is great for patient people who plan on using this very lightly. But for £90 I can't see what you get in return.EDIT: Returned.

Good value for it's size.
I bought this 10.1" Fusion5 tablet to replace an old tablet that I have had for a few years. My old tablet would randomly crash when playing video clips on youtube or when using certain apps so I thought it was time for a replacement. The first one of these I recieved had a small defect on the screen which consisted of a "C" shape about half way up the left of the screen and about an inch in from the edge. I returned this one for a refund from Amazon and ordered another. The replacement tablet was fine with no defects on the screen so I guess the first one was just unlucky.I have now had this tablet for a couple of weeks and it performs quite well and certainly better than my old one with no signs of crashing. It is not the fastest tablet I have seen with some apps slow to start up but once they are running the performance is fine for my use.It seems to be good value for the price and for a 10.1" machine. Others are available cheaper with similar memory and CPU specs but tend to have a smaller screen and much older versions of Android installed, so what it is and what I paid I am happy.4 stars as mine did not come with a charger (not sure if a charger should be included as not mentioned in description)
