This is a beautiful representation of the famous Nike of Samothrace Statue that has been exhibited in Louvre Museum since 1884. The creator of this wonderful statue remains unknown to date. It is estimated that it was created around 190 B.C. and the purpose of the creation was to not only honor the winged Goddess Nike, but to also honor a sea battle that has not yet been identified. The statue, made by marble and being about 2.50 meter tall, was discovered in the Greek island of Samothrace in 1863. Undoubtedly, this is one of the most celebrated pieces of art in the world. We offer a very stylish representation, made by top quality alabaster and colored with yellowish patina to take an antique style. A great decor item for those interested in Greek Mythology and History, and in Western Civilization overall.
