Mineral fertiliser, for your garden and your compost bin!
I did a little experiment with my planting this year. I put this mineral volcanic dust with it into compost and potted half my seeds with this mix and the other half of my seeds with just normal compost. It does definitely help retain water. The seedlings that grew in this volcanic mix did seem stronger than the ones without. You won,t have to use much at a time as it’s fairly fine. The bag is resealable, so fingers crossed, it should last quite well.I haven’t used it on my compost bin yet but will be doing so at the end of the season.Worth a try,

Interesting fertiliser
I haven't used this type of fertiliser before however I was willing to give it a try .I can't say that I have noticed an improvement so far but these things need time. I am happy enough that it hasn't had any detriment on the growth of my plants so I will continue to use.The way I look at it is similar to when people take vitamins, you can't see the effects in the short term but I am convinced that it has a positive impact to overall health.

Great compost accelerator
I recently decided to give the Volcanic Rock Dust Natural Fertiliser a try as a compost accelerator for my plants, and overall, I have been quite pleased with the results. Here's my review of this product.Firstly, the concept of using volcanic rock dust as a natural fertiliser intrigued me. The idea behind it is that the volcanic rock contains a wide range of minerals and trace elements that are beneficial for plant growth. This appealed to me as I prefer using organic and natural products in my garden. The packaging of the product was simple and sturdy. The 1kg size was convenient for my needs, as it provided enough product to last me a while. The instructions on the package were clear and easy to follow, which made the application process straightforward. When it came to using the volcanic rock dust as a compost accelerator, I found that it worked effectively. I added the recommended amount to my compost pile and noticed that it helped to speed up the decomposition process. The minerals in the rock dust seemed to provide a boost to the microbial activity, resulting in faster breakdown of organic matter. As a result, I was able to obtain rich, nutrient-dense compost more quickly than before. In addition to its compost-accelerating properties, I also used the volcanic rock dust as a soil amendment for my potted plants. I mixed a small amount of the dust into the potting soil, and it seemed to enhance the overall health and vigor of my plants. They appeared greener, and their growth seemed more robust. I believe this can be attributed to the additional minerals and trace elements provided by the volcanic rock dust. One aspect to note is that the volcanic rock dust does have a slightly gritty texture, which may not be suitable for all plant types. Some delicate plants with sensitive roots might not respond well to the texture, so it's important to consider the specific needs of your plants before using this product.Overall, I am impressed with the Volcanic Rock Dust Natural Fertiliser as a compost accelerator and soil amendment. It has proven to be a valuable addition to my gardening routine, providing an organic and mineral-rich boost to my plants' health. While the texture may not suit all plant types, I found it to be effective for most of my plants. I would recommend giving it a try if you're looking for a natural fertiliser and compost accelerator for your garden.

I think this is good
I'm not entirely sure if this works, but I have added it to the soil at my allotment. I did notice my blueberry plants, which have taken a bit of a battering this year with the weather, are a lot happier since. This is more likely due to the weather changing for the better, but I feel like this volcanic dust has helped.

Seems to be having positive effect
Seems to be having a positive effect so far, I haven't tried a comparison without it as I want the best for our garden. Gut feeling tells me this is helping, particularly with the lack of rain we have recently had. At £12 it seems a reasonable buy.

Unusual product (to me anyway!)
I haven’t seen this type of soil improver before, but am more than happy to give it a go. We’re fortunate to have a large vegetable plot, separate from the main garden, with a greenhouse, raised beds, fruit trees, and shrubs etc; and do like to try and use nutrients and supplements. This seems to be a good and easy product to use, simply sprinkle over the soil. However, at a tablespoon for only 150mm diameter area, this 1 Kg won’t go very far, so for a larger area, this would start to work out expensive. The product is well packaged, in a strong resealable bag. It’s a fine, odourless dust type substance. Easy to use, easy to store. Time will tell if this improves the soil, or better than the usual plant feed etc. This can also be added to a composter, which is what I'll do as well as sprinkling on soil direct.Overall, seems okay, decent with no horrible additives, but plenty of minerals etc.I hope that you have found this helpful.

Useful for keen gardeners.
It's often tricky to review products like this as they need to be assessed long term. However, I can say that I have noticed an improvement in water retention on the tomato and pepper plants I'm using the volcanic dust on. Time will tell if it improves the overall growth and condition of the plants. It certainly hasn't had any detrimental effects so far, which is good! It's a fairly fine grain dust, but no so fine that it blows away like flour. You only need to use a handful at a time, so the 1kg bag should last a while. It comes in a sturdy, resealable bag.I've also tried adding it to my compost bin, as I've noticed the pH level of the compost coming out was a little on the acidic side. Hopefully this will neutralise it, as well as aiding and accelerating the overall composting process.

So far so good
I used this to pot my tomato plants, and so far they are looking great; very dark green foliage. It does seem to help water retention and drainage. You don't get a lot, but mixed in to a good-quality compost, I don't think a lot is really needed
