We have other Thomas train tracks, and got this for additional tracks to be able to link a few together. It easily connected with the other tracks, and the train communicate with the trains from other sets as well.It comes with a packet with 3 different track ideas to build. The instructions are a but like pictionary, but once you figure it out, it's pretty easy.The bucket and lid have built in tracks so it becomes part of the fun, but also convenient that you don't lose the container when it's time to put it away.My 2.5 year old likes to pick these tracks up, and the tracks don't break. Sometime the connections fall apart, but nothing thay isn't supposed to come apart does.

The media could not be loaded. The different designs and configurations are amazing. It was pretty easy to assemble no breaking pieces. It works really well with the talking Thomas trains and the regular motorized trains. It connects really well. It's a great size not too big not too small the different trains move at different speeds so you have to be careful which strains you have on at the same time or else they'll derail each other but it's also fun too. Amazing Christmas present for my daughter, she plays with it everyday

This train set is huge, has different routes you can set up, good quality seems durable, my son absolutely loves trains right now and he has been having non stop fun with this, came in good condition, easy assembly and connects to other Thomas train sets as well!!

This is is fun, my son and I have spend a lot of time playing with it. It helps with creativity and attention to detail if more than one train on track.

This train is rather large and very easy to set up, I love how compact it is when we put it away too. We took it our our family vacation and it took up next to no room due to the box it comes with (ie the grey tunnel / bridge) my only complaint is the trains get derailed sometimes. I don’t know if it’s a track thing or the motorized trains. All and all it keeps him playing for hours.

Great train for kids. We bought this set to expand our existing set. Love that it is simple to put together and easy for my 5 year old to operate. Great fun.

Listen, I bought this “Thomas & Friends Toy Train Tracks Set, Connect & Build Bucket, 34-Piece Expansion Pack” thinking it would just be a cute little add-on for my kid’s train set. Next thing I know, my child has engineered a rail system that would make Amtrak jealous. We’re talking loops under the couch, switchbacks through the hallway, and a rail bridge over my dog.The best part? It actually works great on its own, too. I tried to sneak one of the track layouts onto my desk just to see if it would hold up solo. Spoiler: it does. Now I’m 34 years old, holding a toy train in my hand, whispering “choo choo” while my kid yells at me for derailing Gordon.Pieces snap together easily (unless you step on them—then they snap you). The bucket is solid, and it doubles as a drum when the tracks inevitably get dumped all over the floor at 6 a.m.In summary: excellent expansion, excellent standalone, and excellent way to discover that my child is a better civil engineer than I’ll ever be. Would buy again—unless the HOA forces us to stop expanding the “Thomas Metro Rail” that currently occupies 40% of my house.

Bought this for a 2 year old and he loves it. Has learned so much from hooking up trains and the oh no of trains getting off tracks. Buy the extra train or two.
