Bought for my grandson. He loves it. Not sure how well it would work for serious metal detecting. But we're happy with it

Constant noises, difficult to distinguish if it's actually picking up something
I like this product for the most part. What I don't like is that it constantly beeps even when there is nothing to detect. The noises vary slightly but not enough for a 6 and 8 year old to distinguish between the sounds. It also shows images on the screen when there is nothing to detect.

My 4 yr old loves it.
My son loves to watch me use my Garrett so I decided to get him a metal detector. He loves it and has found some coins and an assortment of other "treasures".

Good value for your money
My 6 yr old son got this for his birthday. He loves it! Good quality for a kids metal detector. Battery last a long time

not worh the money
while inexpensive, there is a reason. this product is not worth the plastic it is made of. do yourself a favor and spend a little more money and buy one that the kids can actually use. This gives off a lot of false signals. I highly recommend you do not buy this item....

Seems sturdy enough
Our 9 year old grandson was excited to use this at our recent beach vacation and it did not break, so that’s very positive! Even with adult supervision and assistance, he did not find anything. Maybe he will try it again with better results, or maybe it is just a toy.

Great For Kid Excitement
The assembly was relatively basic and the 8 year old completed it by himself.. Then 2 steps into the backyard playground and it went off signaling dig area. He and is sister worked together sharing the trowel and found treasure in the form of a piece of a drink can. They are now trying to age the item to tell how long it was there. This will accompany them on family beach trips and scout camp outs.
