Works great on thin metal like 22ga. Cold rolled sheet metal. I’ve also welded 3/16 thick steel (walk behind mower front wheel spindle) and it worked great for that also. It is actually pretty consistent as far as duty cycle, I haven’t pushed it to the limit yet but honestly I think it’s a great budget Tig welder for the money. The torch has a finger switch to initiate the arc. So don’t get confused it is only a switch, it will not adjust the heat like a pedal so id recommend practicing on some scrap metal to dial in your heat. Other than that it’s solid.

I got this for hobbyist welding and occasional part fixing. It isn't going to do 1/4" steel, but for smaller sheets and tubes, it does the job.

having trouble gitting collet collet bodys for tig torch

Welder looks great but will not hold an arc no matter what size rods I use. If you are a beginner, this welder would either cause you to change your mind on welding or make you worse

This is a great small and lightweight TIG welder. It works well for small jobs around the house. The TIG torch comes with a hose for argon gas. The gas must be purchased separately and is expensive but works great with this welder.Since more than one person in our home uses this, I'm commenting on the groups favorite feature and that is how the torch lets about two extra seconds of gas flowing into it after turning off which helps with the finishing touches of the weld.The biggest drawback we had was that this doesn't come with the accessories and they were hard to find but we were able to finally find what we needed.Overall, this is a great torch for personal use.
