Excellent product at this price point
Nice looking mailbox post. Incredibly easy installation when paired with their no dig post installation kit. I attached a fairly heavy mailbox (the Ironsides) and it seems sturdy enough. Looks great. All in with the Whitley, no dig post kit, and the Ironsides mailbox I put in a brand new mailbox for around $130 and it only took about 15 minutes to assemble and install everything. I’m happy all around with the three of their products.

Bought and installed this along with a new white mailbox. Very sturdy and looks great!

Woreked perfectly with no problems
I had to replace a similar mailbox post damaged by someone. This post went together easily, and everything fit perfectly. The universal mounting plate even worked with my extra-large mailbox. This was one of the lowest cost options for me, so it also provides a great value as well as moderate (by today's standards) cost. YMMV, but you should consider this as an option if you can use it for your mailbox installation. I have two minor quibbles. I would have liked a tighter fit of the cross arm in the vertical post. I added some caulk to make minimize water getting to the wooden support post. I also like a more secure attachment of the cross arm to the vertical post. It was loose with just the fasteners that were provided. I used two old screws in the vertical post to secure the cross arm. These were minor modifications that most people could do in ten minutes. They two modifications are not required but do add some rigidity and weather protection.

DIY install
I installed it myself in an afternoon. Make sure to get a wooden post prior to install, and the no water cement makes it super easy to do. Very satisfied and looked great with my new mailbox

Great look and perfect fit. Arm is not as sturdy as I would like for a bigger, heavier mailbox that meets specifications.

Great for coastal areas. Easy to set up!
Finally! I’m a 57 year old 4’11” woman with RA. I already had a mailbox post so This was extremely easy to set up! I live in a costal area with high humidity which causes wood to rot easily and metal to rust quickly. This is a great option to add curb appeal that is inexpensive yet looks great. Super happy highly recommend.
