AMAZING
Great speaker that comes with a microphone. Some of the features that come with it are a microphone, bluetooth capability, and long battery life. This works great for events and the wireless microphone is a plus. I like the compatibility that this speaker offers compared to others. Being able to use it for other areas without a cord is amazing.Used it for numerous events and barely lost a charge.

This is awesome!
We bought this for our small hotel for when we have meetings and parties. This works great and we love it. The battery lasts a while and the mic is great as well. Don't hesitate

After three months, I can say this is a solid product exceeding all expectations
Waited tell I owned this speaker long enough to give it a real review. After three months now, I can say this is a solid product. I use it for hours with my PC, almost daily. Not a flat, studio reference grade sound but clear, with decent amount of bass. Lots of connections with the 4 channel mixer on the back of this unit. I have yet to run out of options for plugging in and even daisy chain out. The Bluetooth connectivity is smooth and seamless. Also purchased a second model (Expedition XP106) to pair up with this one and use them as monitors when behind a larger DJ PA. I will typically engage the speech mode in this setup for a bit more volume and clarity (mostly for it's low end roll off.) Easily reaches 90db or greater. Never timed how long but I am sure it could run all day on a single charge.Only quirks, the Expedition makes an obnoxious audible pop when it runs out of juice. A startling surprise when listening in quieter situations. I am sure the LED on the back turns from green to red at some point but I am never looking at the back when in use. The XPD1 (wireless mic receiver ) that comes with this unit, plugs in the back and sticks out in a way that may make it prone to be accidently broke off. I purchased a short right angle USB male to female extension cable to keep it tucked away and it works like a charm.

Very portable and convenient system
Highly portable system that doesn't need plugging into the wall, assuming you keep it charged. Charge seems to last a long time; I just plug it in the day before using it to be sure. I've gone 8 hours with no trouble, but your mileage may vary. Hand-held mike is OK, although you have to hold it very close to your mouth for it to work. For music, I connect my laptop to the Samson via Bluetooth and play music with Windows Media Player. Once or twice, the Bluetooth link was dropped when the laptop wasn't in use, but it was easy to re-link it again. With Bluetooth and the handheld mike, you only have one line-level input left for other wireless mikes or instruments; so make sure that is sufficient for you.The system is 100 watts (previously 40w) but you can't use it overly loud without overwhelming the modest 6" speaker. Perfect for presentations in conference rooms or hotels, but don't expect to amplify a rock band with it!

Good for the cost
I bought this several years ago and it still holds up. Sounds great! Microphone and reciever is delicate though so be thoughtful when storing. Solid product for the cost

I got mine today and was so disappointed to see that you used lead acid batteries
I got mine today and was so disappointed to see that you used lead acid batteries. For those who don't know. This is 120 year old technology that makes the unit disposable. Had they used LiPo batteries the unit would weigh less, charge 10X faster and last for many more years and charges. Now if we run the battery dead it will ruin it. I haven't tried the sound yet because it takes 24 hours to charge the antique batteries. I just tried out the sound and it is all low and no mids or highs. So I lowered it from a 2 start to 1. Not usable at all. Going back.Update. I ended up keeping the unit because my son needed it. 2 years later the battery only lasts 45 min. Just as I feared above. The 20 hour claim is a fast sliding scale. If you listen to music on 25% volume it lasts 45 minutes. This product could be alright if they updated the battery but as is this thing is junk.

Great for 4H meetings
Just opened it up and it's impressive. I cranked it to 10 with the wireless mic and there's no distortion and no feedback with the mic 4 feet in front of the speaker. I bought it for our 4H club meetings and I was concerned it might not have enough sound. After letting my kids play around with it for an hour I know for certain there is plenty of sound to go around. We also paired an iphone with it and plugged in a wired mic and had all 3 at full blast and it handled it well. The best part is that I feel confident lending to someone and they will have no problem setting it up. It's fool proof. I haven't checked the battery performance yet, so here's to hoping that's good also.

A real workhorse!
This speaker is a real workhorse! I used this to play music when I'm performing magic shows. It is loud and clear. The battery lasts forever and the Bluetooth connection is very reliable. This speaker has been a life saver as well. I've been in situations where there were full systems available, but only one input (DJ was not able to patch in both my music AND my wireless mic), so I hooked this system into theirs and used my inputs. It worked like a charm! I highly recommend this speaker.
