Only Christmas tree preservative I will ever use. I had used this in the past until one year I couldn’t find it anywhere and I went with a liquid that needed to be mixed with water. What a sticky mess. I will be sure to order early. Using it this year and my tree has been up for one month. The branches remain soft and no needle drop. The tree is drinking about 24 oz of water a day. So easy to simply plop the tablet in the water every 4-5 days.

So the last tree I got for Christmas seemed to be wanting to die quickly for some reason. I do believe that this product helped sustain its life for the three weeks that I needed it to. I would definitely buy again.

This product is SUPER easy to use, easy to store, and a great value. I didn't order this soon enough, and my tree had already been up for 9 days before I started using it. It has done a great job of keeping the needles from dropping, but after 3 weeks, my tree is no longer drinking any water and starting to dry out now and the water is feeling a bit slimy. I think it would have been best to use it from day one, which I will next year.

there are a lot of factors why a tree is dry, the house environment (mine is quite dry), how dry it is when you buy it, etc. The tree was dropping needles all 4 weeks i had it. Did this preservative help it last longer than it would have? i don't know. but it helped pyschologically.

Forest Fresh, which we've used for many years, keeps our freshly-cut Christmas tree beautiful for weeks. The first packet, included with a 7' tree we purchased from a forestry professor who owns a Christmas tree farm, made an amazing difference! We add one tablet to our large tree stand every 3 days (rather than 4-5 days) for the first ten days or so, increasing the interval as time goes on. Even after a month and a half, this year's tree took up at least 2 quarts of water a week. That was with outdoor temps as low as 9 below zero Fahrenheit, meaning lower indoor humidity. Despite a bit of drooping, it stayed lush and limber and dropped nary a needle.

We usually get a Christmas tree the weekend after thanksgiving and our tree is usually dead 2 weeks later. A friend recommended these and once we started using them, our trees have started lasting much longer. Not sure if they actually help, but it’s worth the purchase to try to extend the life of your tree.

We purchase these because they were cheap and easy did not do a single thing. Complete junk snake oil kept the water in the tree full tree shedding needles like crazy. This is a fresh cut tree.

Wow, this product did not work well at all. May have even contributed to excessive needle fall. Our tree was max half an hour from cut to setup and always kept topped up with fresh water. We used the brand of round ball liquid in years past but ran out this year. Definitely do not recommend this product.
