Great pack - must have the optional stay
This actually turned out to be a great bag. However it does have some pros and cons. Also the pack overall (regardless of weight) works noticeably better with the aluminium stay added to the frame (sold separately). Pros: Love the large side pockets - they are great. Love the large mesh pocket - fantastic. The roll top closure at the top also works well and allows you to overload the bag well past 60l if necessary (like when adding extra gear for winter). The removable brain also functions well and can be used as a chest or belt pack providing dual purposing. Cons: The straps are not as comfortable or robust as other more traditional packs for heavier loads. Utilizes two chest straps, however you will need to remove the top one because even at the lowest position it is a throat strap that strangles you. At around 20 lbs you can feel the frame flex some as you walk which causes some side to side movement if your gear is not well balanced in the pack (the stay seems to fix this - it is a must add-on) For the price of this bag the aluminium stay should be included (it really is not optional for best function) and should not be a $17 add-on with an additional $13 of shipping tacked on). So, overall (with the stay, again this really isn't optional) this is a very versatile bag and can handle alot of gear if necessary. Weight and handling is somewhat limited without the stay, and if you want to use it without the frame sheet - save your money and just get a cheap AliExpress pack. Update: Having put quite a few miles on this pack at this point, I can say that it excels in the 30 lbs to 40 lbs range. The pack is really comfortable in this range. I have used it with as much as 42 lbs and works fine for the occasion overload. However if you wish to consistently take 41+ lbs of gear, then a beefier, heavier bag may be in order. Otherwise, still a fantastic pack.

Great pack
My first attempt at an ultralight pack. Took it for a handful of training hikes and then a 3 day trip. Definitely has less padding than I’m used to in the hip belt, but it’s a well thought out pack. Plenty of space and the right amount of pockets. I removed the lid and kept the weight just under 30lbs.

Great bag Great price!!
An absolutely amazing pack! Can fit so much and is super comfortable. Took it on a 4 day camping trip. First day we hiked 30 miles With 30 pounds and it did great. Days 2 and 3 another 80 miles by kayak. And last day another 20 miles.

Seems really nice but rough on shoulders
I used this pack on my first backpacking trip of roughly 23 miles in 2.5 days. It held everything very nicely and allowed me to keep organized, but the shoulder straps were not the most comfortable. They are quite thin and led to some discomfort while hiking. It is also pretty difficult to put the pack on when it’s fully loaded, so I’d recommend either practicing a bunch, or not filling it all the way up
