This is the first magnetic knife block I've ever bought and I am liking it.The knives are held in place by some very strong magnets. I find the only realistic way to remove them is to pull them up, (as if I was drawing the blade from a sheath) at least until I get the blade off a few of the magnets, and the hold is reduced.The knife block itself is very nice and sturdy. I have had no problems with using knives from both sides, as there is more than enough room for me to grab the handles. Plus, the weight of the knife block keeps it from moving or wobbling during use. The wood seems very water resistant; we keep the block next to the sink and place our wet knives on it. Cleaning it has been a breeze so far by just wiping it down with a rag; it isn't really ever dirty so we don't use soap.The wood is of a nice quality, I did put a little oil on it before using it the first time, just for added moisture protection, I don't really think it was a necessity though. It is wood though, and I promptly scratched the surface, with my chef knife, while deciding how I wanted to set it up. More specifically, while I was figuring the best way to pull the blade off the block, I tipped it over. On the upside, the wood isn't just some laminate, so unless you get close you would never know it is there. I could have taken sand paper to it but it was already difficult to see.If you're looking for a functional, heavy, and nice looking knife block this is a really good one.

I bought with a super savings. Above $60 it would get 4 stars. Beautiful wood and construction, The strong magnet easily holds a dozen knifes. The sharp blades do not contact the wood like with a block type knive holder. With a simple twist motion the knives disconnet easily, the feet keep it stable.

Packaging was good. It came with screws and a mini screwdriver. I accidently dropped one of the legs and it cracked. Instead of returning it i just superglued it (my fault). Its somewhat sturdy but it is a bit wobbly. Other than that its really nice and does what its supposed to do. The magnet is reallllly strong. Also i wasnt sure if i had to oil this board but i did anway. Dont want the wood cracking.

Very sleek and has a super strong magnet. I was worried about my knives/scissors falling off or losing magnetism but this block is easy to clean and the magnet stays on tightly! I haven't used the sharpener yet but it holds a variety of metallic objects with no issue. If you can get creative with the way you organize the knives, you can likely fit a lot more while taking up less space. I have two scissors and even a honing steel attached, and my counter looks very nice now!

I really like this knife board. I ordered at a great price during prime day, hoping to consolidate two bulky knife blocks into one space saver. The first board arrived and was beautiful, but missing feet and tools. I sent a return to amazon who shipped another, arriving the next day. Easy to put together (2 screws), heavy, sturdy, strong magnet. It was a great buy. I'd also reached out to the manufacturer when I contacted Amazon. They responded the same day and offered to ship another board, even though its sold by Amazon. Wanted to note that great customer service.

As adversited. The item is compact and holds quite a few knives on each side. Stylish and extremely practical.

Really enjoy the knife block! Super easy to put together and looks phenomenal. The magnets are strong, although it is top heavy so I recommend “twisting” the knife onto the spine prior to placing on the block or removing it from the block. Superb value, and quality.
