I recently bought an "affordable" desk for my computer setup. The desk surface consists of particle board with a printed laminate on top. This kind of surface is know for getting scratches and water rings. This mat has lots of space, easily protecting the wood top from normal use. The mat's surface is leather-like with a fine, satin finish texture giving it a fine leather look. It comes rolled but flattens out quickly. The quality is very good and I expect to get several years of use before I'll need to replace it. I recommend getting a mat that bigger than you might think you need because you'll find out you really can use the space!

Hi. I purchased the dark blue version of this writing mat/desk protector and I am quite pleased with its usefulness and how it looks. I purchased the smallest version and, as you can see in the photos I’ve attached, it’s proven to be a practical size for my desktop workspace. The mat has a texturized, cloth like, underside that effectively prevents it from sliding on the smooth desktop as I type or use the mouse. And, speaking of the mouse … I am able to use my Apple mouse on it without any problems at all. There is ample space to the right of my keyboard for me to use the mouse without any changes or compromises for space. It’s a layout that works well and I’m happy to say good-bye to my separate, stand alone, mousepad. The mat I received arrived rolled up in a rectangular box (see attached photos) and had a significant curl on its release. The good news is that this is easy to fix. I lay the mat, face down, on my desk and then placed a single layer of hardcover books on top of it, entirely covering its surface. I left it this way overnight and in the morning the curl had almost disappeared. For good measure, I repeated this process the next night and, the following morning the mat was perfectly flat and ready for use. The takeaway: This writing mat / desk protector is a good looking and useful addition to a home office workspace. It eliminates the need for a separate mousepad and provides a welcome “pop” of color that is a simple visual pleasure on its own.

I love this mat. It it really really nice quality. It laid flat immediately after I unboxed it. It doesn't smell bad. It's really soft and I love the shade of pink. I was very impressed with how it came in the box. It was very nicely wrapped in paper not plastic which I really appreciate. I will definitely buy this brand again. I love it.

Very nice purple color. The lighting in my room doesn’t do it justice but trust this was worth it. It stays put and doesn’t move. Very comfortable to rest your arms on. No irritation from it. Very simple to use. Ive had this for a year so its a bit dirty but easy to keep clean. I use this on my gaming desk. You could fit your keyboard and mouse pad on it. Perfect for a setup

Stays in place, unlike other desk mats. I've ruined the top of my work desk using double sided tape to keep my old desk mat in place and it still moved around. No problem using this as a mouse pad also, infrared light on bottom of mouse does not glitch when used on this mat. Like that there are different sizes - I was able to purchase one that fit my desk side to side and covers the damage from the double sided tape for the old mat. Overall, would def recommend. Oh, and when writing on paper on top of this mat, it has a soft feel but doesn't dent the mat.
