Great Value PIR; Easy to Install
All plastic product which is sturdy enough for the job it needs to do. Cable entry is at the bottom and the design of the cover means that water ingress is almost impossible. The hole for the cable is designed for a circular three core rather than flat. It would be best using a rubber over-sheathed three core but I didn't have any to hand. This makes the cable entry and rubber grommet fitment very tight, but still possible. The two adjustments for time and lux are a finger/thumb adjustment knob. Easy to use and just needs some tweaking to find the settings required. A great value for money product, only been working for 7 days, but I have purchased two more for other outdoor lights in anticipation of its longevity.

failing after just 5mths and no option to return
Bought this to replace a much older PIR that was suffering from a much reduced detection range/area (not sure if after years outside in the elements the plastic detector window degrades and hence it can't 'see' as well in the dark?) Anyway, this new one was easy to fit - same wiring (Supply Live, Neutral and a the Contolled/Switched-Live) so a simple new-for-old swap. Plenty of room inside for the wires, although I'm using rubber coated flex so the wires bend and squash easily inside the back of the unit. If you've got solid core 'stiffer' wires you might struggle to get them in. Detection range/zone appears much improved compared to the old one. The two little dials for light level and on duration are easy to get at and adjust with a small flat-blade screwdriver. Using it to switch a 100w LED floodlight. My only complaint (hence can only give it 3 stars) is that fitting the detector to the back/mounting plate is very flimsy. Single very small screw on the bottom and a plastic tag-clip on the top. Even when its all put back together and the bottom screw in place, the slightest pressure (like turning the detector ball) can cause the top clip to give way - it just clicks back into place, but not sure how such a flimsy fit is going to be weather proof or how long it will last. *Update after 5mths* PIR has stopped completely turning the power off. when the light is supposed to be off (during full daylight or when there’s no motion) there still seems to be a small amount of power trickling through which makes the light stay on dim). it still switch on fully after dark when motion is detected. just doesn’t turn it all the way back off again. i’ve only had it 5mths and can’t see any option to return or contact seller for replacement. not happy.

Slow to detect
I can stand in front of it for a two or three seconds before it activates. If I walk really slowly it works before I've fallen over in the dark. It cost a tenner so it's not bad. It does detect at a good distance.

Works well
Would have been easier to install if instructions were clearer

You get what you pay for.
This detector is extremely small, not a problem unless you need to connect cables into it. Very difficult, but there is no provision for earth conductor, again not a problem unless you are wiring in-line to a light fitting, Would I buy again, no.
