I used to live in Belgium. This is from the Royal Family's baker and not only remind me of home but they are still ridiculously delicious! Makes for a great gift.

If you have ever had a "waffle" cone, this is the best part of the cone, only in a flat cookie. I allow myself only 2 a day, but what a treat. Worth the cost.

Actually, I thought this Belgian waffle would taste like the French crepe; balance between salty and sweet that can be use for ham, cream cheese (hors d'oeuvres). But this waffle is far too sweet. After one bite, the overwhelming sweet put spike on tongue.

These are incredibly addicting cookies! ... Smooth tasting & very flavorful... They have a mouth pleasing CRUNCH too... and if you let them rest on your tongue, they almost melt ever so slightly, releasing even more flavor...For a comparison: If you've ever tasted a Trader Joe's 'butter waffle cookie', they are quite similar in every way...The price here is fantastic... Much cheaper than at my local market... Not everyone carries them either, so this is just very convenient having them delivered to my door besides...In the box there will be about 10 to 12 cookies... you won't be able to eat just one... or even just five... But, be sure to pace yourself so you can enjoy them over a period of days rather than have to feel guilty for losing self-control and gobbling them all up at once... (yeah, I've eaten the entire box in one day, they are SO GOOD... and I'm a small person, not at all a 'big goody eater')The flavor is classic butter cookie with a hint of something else... Not sure what it is exactly, but it makes them far superior to a traditional butter cookie... It might be a gentle hint of almond with the butter flavor...They are thin and crispy instead of thick & crumbly like many butter cookies, especially homemade... and they hold up with whipped cream or ice cream on them as long as you don't wait TOO long...Destrooper puts out several types of cookies... All excellent according to taste... This is my favorite with their almond one coming in second... Just don't confuse this Destrooper butter crisp with Destrooper's 'butter WAFFLE cookie', which is the only one of theirs that I just do NOT like... Those are thicker and seem to have a yucky 'aftertaste' that displeases the palate, IMHO...These are 'about' 4+" long and about 2 1/2" wide for an approximation of size... and the calorie count isn't crazy bad for when you want a wonderful, rich tasting snack...In quality & taste, these are comparable to other butter crisp type cookies in the same way as you might compare a generic, store brand of butterscotch hard candy to a 'Werther's Original' butterscotch candy... IOW, NO comparison!Enjoy!!

The cookies were crushed--Amazon refunded my payment for this however.But aside from that, the taste (from the pieces I managed to salvage) did not have the butter flavor as described.It was not an unpleasant taste by any means, just very bland.Certainly NOT worth $7.99!Save your money. (And be sure you have proper packaging.)

I absolutely LOVE this cookie! It's light and buttery like an ice cream cone wafer & it's absolutely addictive & delicious! It's not too sweet like many cookies nowadays, and it's thin & refined. Yum.

The product was fresh and packed well. It's was exactly what I wanted and the package was sealed tight. Thank you.
