Best smelling soap

My husband absolutely loves these Molton Brown products. After staying in a high-end hotel and these were their bath amenities, he was sold. I believe they come out of the UK, so the price may seem a little high for the size bottle, but well worth it. I like this scent in particular.

I have used this product exclusively for my shower wash for years. I actually panicked when Saks and Neiman Marcus stopped carrying it. Thank goodness for Amazon! When I found it was available again (it was gone for a while during COVID), I bought 6 bottles! Smells amazing, does not dry out my skin, and rinses off like a dream. It's a little pricey, but worth it in my book.

Molton Brown's Shower Gel is among the strongest scented body washes I've purchased. I often find that, with lower-to-mid cost washes, the smell isn't particularly pungent and quickly dissipates after the shower. With Molton Brown, it's both quite strong (which is either good or bad depending on what you want) and long-lasting on your skin: both of which are huge selling points for me. I really like body washes that give the cooling tingle sentation, as it's a welcomed relief from my roughly 20min showers at high temperatures. The gel lathers well so a little goes a long way (which is good when the cost-per-oz is $3.50). There's no film-y feeling on your skin after and I swear I can feel the impurities drain off when I'm done. My skin is nice, smooth and fresh-feeling when I'm done showering. The biggest drawback is one that I can't fully hold against the product: the scent, to my subjective palate, isn't well balanced. I realize that the eucalyptus is the top note, but it fully overpower the cedarwood and mint. There's also a rather pronounced patchouli smell that isn't advertised on the listing page (it's in the small print as a "base note" on the back of the bottle). I'm not partial to patchouli and given how strong and how much the scent lingers post-shower, I had to sit with that smell for a while. Another downside is Amazon's handling of this (and other) body washes (which isn't the fault of the product/manufacturer). The bottle arrived in poor condition and had leaked some of the wash. It should have been in a protected box but was shipped from Amazon in those white bubbled envelopes. When the cost is $35 for a 10oz bottle, I don't want any of it wasted by poor handling. I do not factor this into the star rating though.

This shower gel has a lovely fresh fragrance and excellent to wake you up in the morning. I use it all the time!!!!!
