Wish I could have used it but my hard drive is an IDE
Arrived very early and packaged well but unfortunately it does not support IDE, which my old HD was. Maybe point this out in the description and have a photo of what the ports are inside the caddy. Some novices like myself would have found this useful. Also, the instructions were minimal - sorry I am a dummy regarding IT hardware. Otherwise, I'm sure it would have been fine. My Seagate internal HD had ATA in the description so thought it was SATA compatible - not so!

Does the job eventually
the actual case is fine, arriving with absolutely NO instructions on how to install the Hard Drive into the case is abysmal, its NOT straightforward, takes some working out, and is very fiddly, dreadful way to supply this type of item, hence 3 stars.

if you have poor eyesight then this is not for you
Not impressed with this productI was looking forward to this product arriving but when it came and tried to put a SATA HDD in it, that's when the problems started, first you have to remove 8 tiny screws, if you have poor eyesight then this is not for you, after I managed to get the unit open I could see the problem right away, you can not fit a 3.5" SATA HDD in it, even though the Amazon website said you can even on the box it states you can connect a 3.5" but trust me you can not do it. For the money I paid it was a waste of my time trying to fit a HDD into it, I urge you not to buy this product, load of rubbish. The only good thing I can say is Amazon are very quick with delivery.
