This was a perfect replacement for the mechanism of a clock I just purchased. I wanted the clock next to my bed, but the tick-tick-tick from the clock was driving me crazy. After a little measuring, I found that the dimensions of this clock should work just fine, and it did! It is incredibly quiet; I can't hear it even if I put my ear up to it. I'm so happy I did this rather than take the clock back because it was the perfect design. The hands from the clock fit this mechanism perfectly. It took like 10 minutes to swap it out. Super easy. I can't really say anything about the battery life yet, but I can say that a AA fits very snug - the good news is it won't fall out accidentally. Really happy with my purchase so far.

Very easy to install. The hands were a little long for our clock face so we had to shorten them. We are so pleased that our clock is working again.

Hands are a press fit and easy to install. Second hand works! But the clock does not tick (and I wish it did, I find the sound of a ticking clock to be very therapeutic... not a deal breaker, though).

I have a clock in my living room but I love, but I did not love the loud ticking sound coming from it. Did some investigation and found this replacement kit and decided to take the plunge. At first I was a little intimidated by swapping the clock pieces out, but once I got into it I realized it was a much simpler process than I thought it would be. My old clock didn't have a second hand, and this replacement does. Having the second hand is kind of nice. Once I got everything put back together the clock back up on the shelf, I realized I could hear no ticking at all. The second hand sweeps around the clock smoothly. It's been a week since I installed the kit, and the clock is keeping perfect time. Wish I had done this years ago.

Works great. Replace the mechanism that had failed in a wooden clock a friend had made for us. Measured the shaft length and overall mechanism size before ordering to know this would fit. I wasn’t able to use the hands that the clock originally used, but the hands that came with this kit work fine. Nice to have a second hand with this one. Like the smooth movement of the second hand.

i am changing my review. i found out that you have to push down firmly on the hour hand to get it to latch onto the shaft. its difficult because the hands are very thin, so you have to be careful not to bend the hand as you push down.the instructions don't tell you to push down on it until it locks in place. the hands are very thin and same with the second hand, the pin needs to be pushed firmly to connect to the shaft. once i got the hands installed, and put the battery in, the clock mechanism works and seems to be accurately keeping time.

This product is well made and is a good quality and at a great price. It was easy to install and is keeping really good time so far. Had to make a little adjustment with the hands they were a little long but where easy to trim down with just a pair of scissors. I do recommend this product and definitely would order it again.
