Initially everything worked great. Photo was surprisingly sharp and even night mode impressed me.After moving and switching WiFi networks, I was unable to connect. The app instructed to reset, but I was unable to find the button (or the SD card slot as advertised). I contacted the company directly with photos of my device, showing no external reset option. Within a day they replied and instructed me to roll the camera upwards to find the reset button.... And I even discovered the SD slot lol. Got the camera rebooted in no time!

i am a petsitter. i got this to help me out and also to offer pet cam services to my clients who don’t already have a camera in their house, while they are away. (it helps me out when i have multiple sits going on, so i can keep an eye on whichever house i’m not at; it also helps when i am sleeping at someone’s house in a guest room that is separate from where the animals are used to sleeping. and also when i am away from their house.)i didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a camera to just test out the concept so this one fit the bill. i am surprisingly delighted with the quality of the picture, both still and live video, as well as the ability to pan around whatever room you set it up in. the tricky part when installing in various locations is always finding an outlet to plug it into that is also a good vantage point for the room, as you won’t want to be installing it in a more permanent manner with the enclosed brackets/screws. it has a base so can easily just sit atop a dresser or table or fridge or whatever, as long as you can plug it in. (or i guess you could use an extension cord.)the app is pretty self-explanatory in terms of how to connect to wifi and to use it to watch live remotely. to me it appears you have to be connected to wifi for it to work - i could never get it to work when my phone was only connected to cellular service outdoors. it wasn’t a big issue for me, but just mentioning in case it is for you. (maybe there is a way to do it but i couldn’t figure out how.)i find the process required to share the camera access with someone else to be a bit cumbersome - they have to download the app and then use it to scan a QR code you, as the admin of the camera, generate. (this can either be accomplished in person where they just scan your code from your phone, or you can take a screenshot of the code and send it to them, but then they have to use the app to scan it from the photo.) but once this is done, they can have access via the app just like you do. and you can send them video clips too.the night vision setting was really great, showing in black and white with high detail. i could watch my animal charges sleeping or playing overnight while i was either in the other room or across town.without an SD card, you get 3 days of clips saved to the cloud. or you can get an SD card to save them off-cloud.my trial run which i am basing this review on had ceiling fans which had to remain on, so i could not use the motion detection function because whenever the animals weren’t moving, it went right to the ceiling fans. but i guess that means that the motion detection works! it makes a little video clip every time it detects motion, if that is on. it got to be overwhelming for me so i turned it off and just tuned in live every once in a while to satisfy my curiosity.overall, i’d say this was well worth the minimal cost. is it the best indoor security/pet/baby cam out there? no. but it is good enough for my purposes and didn’t break the bank. and i will now be able to either use this at home to watch my own cat or use this when i am petsitting, possibly offering it an an add-on service for my clients if they want it. i’m pretty happy with this product.

Works great easy to set up

kinda difficult to setup. picture quality outstanding. everytime it moves it makes a terrible grinding sound both while in the room and watching live.11 months later won't power on at all

This is the 2nd camera like this that uses the exact same app - the first one I dropped in the trash. The 2nd one is destined for the same fate. Everything about it is right - good image, good app, good night vision, it stores little clips - all of that is good! But, I have never once been able to log into it and see anything live - it shows to be online but when I go to it I get the same error message that it couldn't connect. Did I configure it wrong? I'm going to strongly doubt that as everything works - like there are clips of video. I've been working in IT and networking since the mid 90's so I would be considered to have advanced IT knowledge. Also, all of the clips - there is nothing triggering them, it just takes little random bursts of video. As bad as I do want this thing to work it just flat out doesn't. It's been at least 10 days now and I try it often, sorry - can't recommend this one.
