Exactly what it was supposed to be.
I've got it monitoring oil temp right as it exits the oil cooler adapter on my GY6 powered scooter. It says "for Marine" in the title, but doesn't actually say waterproof anywhere. So, I put a small bead of sealant behind the bezel while installing in the dash. It's held up through half a dozen rainy rides so far. Reads accurate according to proxies and a calibrated thermal gun, easy to read, looks good, priced right. Easy 5 stars.

Not bad for the price- VERY bright at night, readings usually increment by 2, not for low temps
I bought this one hoping that perhaps it used the same style of sensor as the gauge I was replacing (since the sensor was still good), but this unit uses a thermistor that is around 1kOhm at room temperature instead of being around 3k.I did not check the accuracy of the gauge prior to installing, but assuming it is accurate- there are a couple things to know about how it reads. One, this is obviously a natively metric unit that has the conversion duct-taped on at the end. The numbers usually change by 2 (since there is a 1.8x factor in the conversion from deg C to deg F). So it will go from 104 to 106 for instance, and never read 105. No big deal, but sort of annoying that it is lazy. Two, there is a lower limit of the reading that is 104 deg F (40 deg C). For many applications, this is fine. But be aware that it will read 104 deg F if it is 100, 32, or 40 below.Aesthetically, the readout is ok if you’re not picky. In the daylight it is ok. You can sort of see the 7-segment display blocks. At nighttime- it is BRIGHT. Too bright for my taste. It would be great if they dimmed it with a dash light input or something. If you are looking for something cheap to keep an eye of the temp range of something, it’s not bad. If you are a picky car guy, spend a little more for something better.

Not accurate
The gauge looks okay, but I tested the accuracy of it and it’s not even close to being acceptable. I put the sender in boiling water and it read 260F (it should have read 212F). Also, although less important to me, it seems to report 104F as its minimum temperature. I saw that in my house when it should have read about 68F. I thought it would work for me, but now know I need to send it back.

Works but not sure accurate
Not completely sure how accurate it is. I thinknit is showing higher-ups than it really is.

works fine on my 1994 f150
I installed the sensor in my "test port" on my transmission A4OD and it works fine. the only funny thing is it starts out at 104*F when you turn it on. so it doesn't register anything under that which isn't a big deal to me as i am just worried about overheating. definetly worth the price in my opinion.

Works as intended, lets see how long it holds up
