Amazing Dash cam!!
Awesome Dash cam from Pioneer! I've been wanting to get one for awhile now, so why not get it from one of the best brands. For starters, the installation is not easy for just anybody to do, so you may need help from a professional. Luckily, my husband is very experienced in this and was able to install it for me in my car. Once it was all set up I was able to test it out. I'm actually very impressed with it, the picture quality is clear and vivid, it records everything day and night. I feel so much better having this cam, especially with people's car being broke into around our neighborhood lately. This just gives me more peace of mind. It also has built in GPS and WiFi to share my location and speed while myself or someone else is driving my car. The Pioneer app is simple to use on my phone, and I love that it alerts me and records if there is any accidents when my car is parked. Overall I think it's a great Dash cam and it has worked well for me so far. I'm very satisfied and would recommend it.

Good picture, not the easiest install
This is really a great camera, it’s rated best of 2023 on Cruthcfield.com, tho the install is really not meant for the novice. This is not a wireless system, everything requires wiring the system, including the rear camera. The rear camera being the main issue with installing, as the wire has to travel from the back to the main camera in the front. Which also means the main camera up front has wires coming from a hidden spot in two sets, one for the rear camera to transfer data and power, and the main power cord that connects to the battery or fuse box.Get this installed and it’s really a nice camera. This one has 1080p cameras on front and rear cameras. Image is really clear, tho at night it gets a little more degraded. It does have Wide Dynamic Range with helps with lighting as well as changes in lighting, say from going from a parking garage to the bright outside sun. It works well but is noticeable. The image on the built in screen is good enough for a quick view, the best image comes after connecting and downloading to your computer or smart device.Built in GPS is included and it doesn’t require a monthly membership. It tracks your location, speed, and directions in case of incident. Has a parking mode that will record short videos when an occurrence with the car happens. Security mode as well to detect vibrations and activity around the vehicle. Has smartphone connection, tho only through Wi-Fi. When on wifi you can download the images and videos, tho the connection in my experience is sketchy at times. It does come with a 16GB microsSD card to record teh video, tho unless you plant to remove the images often, I’d recommend upgrading to a larger one. Removing it and getting the images and videos from it is the best way to get the videos off quickly and without error. It really does do a great job with recording, the loop feature is nice, that way you won’t have to remove videos constantly, it just records over the older images. I like it, outside of the install issues, it is a great camera and worth the discounted price.

Not what I was expecting.
We wanted this camera for our newly driving teenage daughter. More or less , just to have record if there should ever be a need to prove who may have been at fault in an accident. We ended up having to have a friend who does all types of vehicle modifications to help with the installation. Way too hard for us.We are so glad to have had the camera when she was involved in an accident after only a few weeks of driving on her own. The other person was saying that she had swerved over into his vehicle, and as a new driver, I am sure that the police officer would have believed his claims. Thankfully, the camera caught it all and our daughter was most definitely not at fault. I wish that I could give you more information on the installation, all I can say is that we knew it was above our heads as soon as we opened the box. Edited to add, the picture isn't the absolute best quality, but it is definitely better than nothing.

Everyone Should have a Front Dash Camera in Their Car
I have not been in many car accidents (knock on wood) over my driving career of 30 plus years, however, there are certain times when I felt I wish I had a front dash camera just in case that unfortunate event would happen to occur. When I saw this pop up in my feed, I decided to pull the trigger on it since I have wanted one for so long.I had my car mechanic install it for me which was a pretty straight forward set up but it does take someone who knows what they are doing to get this installed correctly since there is also a rear camera that comes with this unit as well that needs to be connected to the front one in order for it to work properly. The picture on the camera itself looks good from what I can see. It is 1080p which is good enough to get a good crystal clear picture of what is in front of you. I now have a safety net in my car for those just in case situations.

Camera quality could be better.
Put this in my truck earlier this year and thankfully haven't had to use footage from it for anything yet, but I do admit I was hoping for the camera quality to be a little better than it is. The app works well however, and I've had no problems checking the footage a few times just to see if it was recording.
