RayMar's Wet Painting Carriers protect your wet or dry paintings when painting plein air or traveling home from a workshop. These fluted polypropylene plastic carriers are waterproof, lightweight and strong. Each carrier will transport up to six 1/8" panels. For the best protection, we recommend the artist puts one freshly painted wet painting in each of the three slots. If the paintings are dry to the touch, they can be placed back to back, two in each slot. With a velcro closing lid and adjustable carrying strap, the RayMar Wet Painting Carrier is convenient for any paint out, workshop, or trip.

Lightweight but sturdy
I've only used these carriers for a short time, but they work well for protecting my paintings going back and forth from workshops and also returning from plein air painting excursions. They can hold 3-6 paintings without the panels touching paint side. If you were adding 6 panels, one might need to be more dry as the 6th painting might touch the back inner panel. (If carrying all wet paintings, expect to carry 5). The boxes are lightweight (measure in ounces), but firmly sturdy. I would feel comfortable putting them in a suitcase if I couldn't carry them by hand. I highly recommend these for traveling artists.
