No Afro here, but I do have shoulder-length hair and there is ample room to keep my hair on top of my head when I want to take a quick shower without a hair washing. After two years, the plastic is still supple enough to get my recommendation.

I love that this is adjustable and works well with my hair. I like that the terry cloth keeps the moisture away from my hair also when in the shower so it doesn’t crimp and have weird spots in my hair from a hair tie. It’s sturdy also

Not sure why this showercap was not marketed for women as well. I could not find the exact same type for women, so I bought it. I am tired of the plastic shower caps that do not have long lasting elastic. This cap worked well. I have a regular shower head that tilts forward so the cap barely gets wet(as I intended). My hair is left dry and so far I'm happy to have it.

Shower cap looks great and you would think because of the material and on the inside that it would do exactly what it says they would do but this video proves wrong. I did not dunk my head into the showerhead or nothing like that but still it just seeps straight through. Not a great investment the H-E-B grocery bag was way better than this. I do not recommend buying this at all waste of money.
