Cleans very well but it is a two step process

This kit is amazing to ensure that the wet cleaning you are doing on your records is effective, the two step process also ensure that you are not leaving any residue left on your records, I like the sponge that came with this kit, really soft and really absorbent, have to mention that other kits came with a less likeable sponge. I have had some trouble getting the solution out of the g3 cleaning solution, it creates foam and the solution stops coming out of the bottle, it takes a lot of pressing to get it to work back again! But I am still very happy with this buy, has helped me realize when a record is sounding bad because of dirt and when it is sounding bad because of a bad pressing or damage

Treatment makes the albums look shiny and cleans the dust/ fingerprints off

I use G3 religiously on all my vinyl albums that I buy used and I have to tell you sound quality of a record is very noticeable from before to after a cleaning. I use recommended sponge and G3 cleaning spray and apply firm pressure on record, clean for a few minutes then rinse with rinsing solution (a little goes a long way) and I use lint free cloths to rinse and dry. I cleaned about 80 vinyl albums. It can be time consuming to clean vinyl this way but if you take your time and do a good job. It is well worth it .

I've tried a few cleaners, but never a two step solution. The second one here is pretty much just water to rinse the first, but it does have a little something added to the water. I might just look for the first one in the future, but I do have to say this really did a great job cleaning some records. If you buy used records this is cleaner is a must. You can certainly do fine using a simpler cleaner for new records, but this is my new favorite cleaner.

This product did a great job of cleaning up some of my dirty old records. The records looked and sounded so much better. I believe it cleans better than another reputable name brand cleaner I used in the past.
