Barnes & Mullins BMUK2C Spruce & Spalt Maple Concert Ukulele

Not your ordinary Uke this one. These are available in the other sizes, but I particularly wanted a concert sized Uke as I'm struggling a little with some chords on the smaller sopranos. This should help me get used to the chords with its little extra space on the fretboard, then I can move back to the sopranos.More importantly, this one will NOT be travelling on rugby tour coaches with me! It's just too spectacular and precious for that, I'll be taking a £30 uke for that!But at home and more controlled locations, this will be the instrument of choice, I'm sure.The wood finish is high gloss polished and the tone is just superb, so clean compared to the cheaper instruments. the body is slightly less deep at the top, no doubt some good reason for this, but it's all finished so well, which is what initially sets this apart from other, plainer Ukes.I purchased it with a Warwick gig bag, that offers good protection with some foam padding, all from Omega Music, whose delivery and service so far has been excellent on this and previous purchases.I understand that this model is out of production now, so snap them up while stock exists. I imagine it's the same for the other models too.

Arrived ahead of time, well packed and in perfect condition. There was a little confusion in getting tracking info however I spoke to the supplier and they were brilliant,extremely helpful and I was very impressed, the instrument itself is absolutely superb and a joy to play with a lovely tone and long sustain it was well set up and already in tune so I was able to enjoy it immediately.I would recommend anyone wanting to take the next step up to buy a Barnes & Mullins you will not be disappointed.
