I was not expecting to like this Mailbox as much as I do. It’s sturdy, and looks better than all the other ones I was considering. It is very large and can hold a lot of mail and packages. Installation was easy - the sleeve slid right over the existing post we had in the ground. I noticed my neighbor bought the same one after seeing mine. I would buy it again. The price was just under $100.

What impressed me most about this Grand Haven model is its "extra-large" size. If you're someone who receives a lot of small Amazon packages or padded envelopes that don't fit in a standard mailbox, this will be a lifesaver. I no longer find packages lying on the floor or all crumpled up. The good: Capacity: It's truly massive inside. It easily fits several days' worth of mail and medium-sized packages. Material: Being made of high-density plastic, I don't have to worry about rust (a perennial problem with metal ones). The mocha color looks quite elegant and doesn't resemble your typical cheap plastic. Installation: The post kit is quite intuitive. It feels sturdy once you secure it, although I recommend following the instructions carefully to ensure there's no play. Things to keep in mind: Being plastic, the door closure is magnetic/pressure-activated. It closes securely, but you have to make sure you push it all the way in to protect your mail from heavy rain. In short, if you're looking for something functional that doesn't require repainting or rust over time, this is the one. It perfectly fulfills its purpose and aesthetically adds a nice touch to the front of the house.

A car hit our old mailbox. We have dual mail boxes that we share with our neighbor, so we partnered and bought two individual mail boxes this time and we are delighted of the result achieved. Excellent quality, they look great, the mail box is extra large so it fits most packages we receive. The neighbor also loved it, easy to install with a 4 x 4 wood post which we secured on the ground with concrete after painting the treated wood to ensure durability. Thank you!

Review of ARCHITECTURAL MAILBOXES Grand Haven Plastic, Mailbox and Post Kit, Black Extra Large My old mailbox’s post gave way to time, so I decided to upgrade to a more aesthetically pleasing one. This one is also larger. The one I had before was also of the same material but was the green and beige rural looking one. This mailbox was really tight in getting the final piece to slide on and locked into place. Other than that, it was not difficult to put together. I imagine some will need help in assembling it, only because of how tightly the pieces slide and lock into place. I like how hefty and sturdy this is built. Instructions are included, but I found that assembly was mostly common sense. The instructions indicate the need for an adjustable wrench, but no wrench is needed. Feeding the bolts from the top and the nuts from the bottom, the nuts are held in place to self-thread and tighten. There is so much room; a lot more room than my old one and most standard boxes. The red arm that is raised to show that you have outgoing mail is a little bit wonky in getting it to rise up, but I am guessing that is to keep the wind from somehow blowing it in the upright position. The door stays tightly closed with the strong magnet that is attached. As far as installation, I hired this done since I wanted to have it in concrete, levelled, and installed flush to the ground as it should be. The installer also used an upgraded 4x4 post and larger lag screws/bolts. The lag screws that come with this are much too small in my opinion. I deducted 1 star for this poor hardware inclusion. Paying this much for a mailbox should include heavier and better installation lag screws. It should be noted that I am not a handyman. Many people will be able to do this themselves. For numbering, 2” numbers worked well on the side(s), and I used 3” numbers on the front. I think this should last and hold up to the elements quite well.

HUGE. Absolutely cavernous. SO easy to put together - does require a bit of strength. and once the pieces are snapped together, they are not coming apart without a fight - so follow the directions. We love it. hardest part of the project.. the post that the system installs on. A little scuffed, but we polished it with uv protectant and it looks amazing! These mailboxes were pretty easy to put together, and they were pretty easy to mount. The hardest part was taking the hole to put a 4 x 4 post into the ground and concrete that in to set the post on top. The only thing I would suggest is that if you’re going to use this mailboxthey don’t don’t provide enough support for the post itself. The plastic needs to have two or three more screws with washers going around up further on the post not just down at the bottom it’s a little wobbly otherwise otherwise it’s a really good. Le plan pour effectuer le montage de la boîte n'était pas toujours très clair. Qui plus est, en anglais ou en espagnol. J'ai fait l'assemblage de plusieurs meubles ou différents articles et je lis toujours les instructions 2 ou 3 fois avant même de commencer. Ensuite je vérifie toutes les pièces pour m'assurer qu'il ne manque rien. Mais il faut avouer que nous avons dû reprendre à quelques reprises en démontant les pièces et en recommençant à nouveau. Tout ça pour vous dire que c'est vraiment un beau produit. Il faut peut-être améliorer vos instructions pour aider au montage. C'est une très belle boîte aux lettres. Merci.

Love the size … now if I could just get the delivery people to actually put the packages in this big mailbox rather than on my front step lol

Love this mailbox. We now have the best one on the road. Heavy duty, very large to fit parcels, etc. and looks great!
