DIY replacement cable for Philips speechmike 3700
In their infinite wisdom, Philips engineers designed the cable socket on this speechmike so that the standard mini-usb plug does not fit. However, the speechmike is compatible with mini USB plugs/cables - you don't have purchase official replacement cables (if you require a shorter or longer cable), but you will need to modify the plastic bit of the plug to make sure it fits inside of the socket, by sanding off part of the plastic on both sides of the plug. Otherwise, the Mike is great. I use it with Dragon Dictate.

Used this model and previous models with different softwares ...now this model with dragon medical practice works like a charm frish out of the box! Worth the price and I like the replacement of the trackball. For me I prefer this button activation.
