If you wear it 24/7 it will affect the skin underneath the silicon sheath. It would be better to take it off at night (if possible) and allow air to circulate around the toe for as many hours a day as possible. The skin covered by the silicon will peal eventually if the toe is covered non-stop. I give it a “5” because it works great for alleviating the pain of an ingrown toe nail rubbing against the toe next to it.

With the steel toe works shoe requirement at my place of work, I developed a problem with with blisters on the outsider edge of both big toes. It doesn't help that I'm an underpronator. The silicon in these big toe caps provides enough cushion to protect the skin and allow it to properly heal.

I was getting callouses on my big toe on my right foot from being on my feet 8 straight hours a day. These covers are just the right thickness, easy to put on and have eliminated the rubbing that was occurring. The missing star is due to them tearing easily. However they give you a generous amount for the price so they last a while.

I tried some with holes to allow for sweating and they immediately tore along the holes when I played pickleball. Got these without holes and they are awesome! A single one has lasted about 20 days worth of pickleball and is still in good shape. I need this because I had my big toe joint fused which causes some pain playing pickleball and also wears a hole thru my shoe right under the big toe. This silicone toe protector definitely reduces my toe pain and I'm hoping it will make my pickleball shoes last longer as well.

The toe protecter is not comfortable; it is too bulky and my shoe won't fit. They are useless. I do NOT recommend this product.
