As advertised and sturdily made
It truly does fit my Manfrotto quick release plates and the L-bracket is easy to use. A plus is that my camera strap attaches easily to the bend and stays clear of the mounting needs. The only minor drawback with my Olympus OMD E-M1M3 is that I have to loosen the bracket and pivot it to get the battery out. It works for me, glad that I found it!

Bad design
Very disappointed. The shorter side of the L bracket is just a little bit to long to fit Canon 6D: it won’t touch the camera side; you can barely use the remote control when shooting horizontally and you can NOT use remote control at all when shooting vertically at all. Why can’t they design the L bracket to be used on the right side of the camera? Then the long side is too short to use the bracket on the right side of the camera.

Best value in for a Manfrotto RC2-compatible L bracket.
UPDATE: While I stand by my original review below, after extended use, I removed a star. Here's why: I occasionally shoot tethered in the studio. There's simply not enough clearance between the bracket's short side and the side of the camera to connect my USB Mini cable. The workaround is to use a short right-angle USB mini male to female cable then connect the tether cable to that. Easy enough solution but by simply revising the design to allow another cm or so of adjustment room between the bracket and the camera's USB connection would eliminate the need to buy yet another piece of kit.ORIGINAL REVIEW: As an owner of a (really) small manufacturing company, I do almost everything including product photography for our web site and Amazon store. I made a deliberate decision years ago to use the Manfrotto RC2 quick release system on all my cameras and tripods. There are precious few L plates designed for the RC2 and which aren't outrageously expensive. This one popped up as an option just as I was about to pull the trigger on one costing nearly three times as much. Taking a chance, I ordered it instead of the pricier one. It arrived today and I couldn't be happier. It's built like a tank; fully adjustable to fit my Canon 5D3's bulky body; and allows me to easily switch from horizontal to vertical shots with only a very minor change in the shot's framing. I wish I was this happy with some of the other gear I've spent far more money on.

Nice but R2 mount has play where it attached to tripod, Rock solid on camera
Bought this in the hope of saving some money vs a real Manfrotto per some earlier reviews. It attaches to my D800e perfectly and the method to customize it to the camera was nice but I find the R2 mount to my Manfrotto tripod is a little too loose for my liking. It would be fine with use of a remote trigger or portraits but there is play in the mount to tripod that is too much for me. Probably like an 1/8 inch. I like astro photography and long exposures. The tripod mount is secure and not worried about falling but there is some movement. Will be returning.

Design flaw.
I love it. I hate it.Finally a cost effective LBracket for Manfrotto.However. The Vertical side of the bracket does not allow proper access to connecting remotes. It is essentially 1 inch too high to allow full access to contral attachments . I will not be able to use my remote trigger. :-(The design team should consider making the opening bigger by 1 inch to allow full access to all control attachments, and give a bit more space on the slide it away from the camera to fit attachments. I am a canon 5dm3.

It's secure on my tripod.
Easy to mount on camera, fits well & the price is right.

Excellent Bracket!
Solid mount! Well made and designed. Works great for what I do! I wish you made one for larger older Manfrotto 3055 tripod head, with the hexagon quick release plate. That would be a beast! I would buy it in a nano second!

Does Not fit Manfrotto 200PL-14 RC2 Head
The L-bracket I received does not fit my Manfrotto 200PL-14 RC2 Head. I will need to have it machined to size or return.
