I like the design, it's great having a compact package to toss in the gun bag and the handle makes pulling easy.My issue is the push cable is stiff and will maintain a natural curve due to how it wraps around the storage container. With an AR-style upper this works great, as you can feed it through the ejection port and the curve allows it to naturally enter the barrel.Unfortunately, if you remove the bolt on a bolt-action and try to feed this through the end of the receiver it becomes an annoying process. The curve makes the push cable snag and it will want to exit through the ejection port or mag well; it requires a lot of fiddling to feed it correctly into the barrel.I think these are great for most firearms, especially things like handguns with removable barrels which makes feeding the cable trivial. If you plan on removing the bolt on a bolt-action and snaking the whole thing, I'd stick with a string + brass weight snake.

Although I threw the bottle in the garbage because I use others, I love the snake as a range tool. I now have several of these snakes in all of my range bags. I love that they have their own small containers instead of having to use ziplock bags. I do not have a problem with the lube but rather I prefer others so that has no impact on my review or the value of the product. I highly recommend the snake if you use them.

Good value for the money. I prefer the bore snake to a traditional rod and the CLP is on par with Safariland CLP.
