This set comes with high quality packaging, quality tarot cards and a quality journal. You answer questions in the journal by writing you own experience that ties to each individual card, which ultimately helps you learn the meaning and symbolism behind the cards which is also written in the journal. The author of the journal also gives his own opinion and answers the same question as you do to give you an example. I believe this is the easiest and best guide to learn tarot I have seen thus far.Each card has a one word written on the upright and the reverse that tells the ultimate meaning of the card. So you basically are learning the cards by connecting them to your own memories from the past, present and future. Which helps you memorize the meaning. This is not something you can do in 1 day.I do about 1 to 2, possibly 3 journal entries per day. If you focus on One card per day for lets just say 90 days. You will have the deck pretty much down pat.I highly recommend this item and the company that makes it. And yes it is worth $50.00. I struggled with the price for months as this sat in my cart. But, no fear.. I garuntee you will agree that it is well worth the money after a week of journal entries.And they definitely did not cheap out on the product quality. One word on the card, just love simplicity

This set consists of a deck of Tarot cards and a spiral-bound book. Each card in the deck is represented by a 2- page section in the book which contains a picture of the card and some basic information as well as blank space for you to write your own impressions of each card.The cards themselves have 2 keywords on each card: One at the bottom and one at the top (upside down) which indicates the meaning of the card when reversed.This is something I would definitely recommend to any beginning Tarot reader.

Cards of perfect quality !!

I am really honestly impressed by this package - the box is very nice, opens from the front for presentation purposes. The cards sit in a foam cut-out block in the box so they don't shift around much at all. There's also a fancy ribbon to assist in pulling all the cards OUT - important, when it's very easy to lose one or two at the bottom of a case and look silly shaking the box around or prying bits up trying to get to it. Not speaking from experience or anything there, I swear! XDThese cards are LARGE, very impressive-looking when laid out. The artwork on the cards has been digitally remastered, which means someone traced over them and re-colored them in a digital art program so they look basically just like the original drawings, except, like, cleaner. Especially helpful for the cards being blown up in size, the smaller original drawings would have looked jagged or blurry.And the BEST part of this package - the pre-written JOURNAL. There is NOTHING that can replace a card-by-card journal when studying tarot! That's what was really holding me back from diving in, was the paralyzing choice of which journal to buy, to make my own card-learning notes on, how to set it up, etc. The included journal, even if it isn't the one I will ultimately use, is absolutely invaluable as a jumping-off point!Professionals and enthusiastic amateurs will tend to collect fancy and bespoke tarot card decks over time, but the modern original IS the Rider-Waite, which most of the other bespoke variations are based on, so it's kind of a rite of passage to have a copy of that particular deck. And now I do, and I am super-stoked to begin researching using the included workbook!Disclaimer - in my years as a skeptic of most supernatural "psychic" stuff, I have come to accept tarot-reading, palm-reading, and other forms of "supernatural advice" as basically just talk therapy for people who don't trust the mainstream stuff, or can't afford it. The topics that the cards relate to, are basically just conversation starters.The most trustworthy practicing psychics will be upfront about how they work - in dialogue with their client, to mutually discover the meaning behind what they encounter in the session. The more detail the client shares, the more helpful the psychic will be. And the longer the relationship lasts, the more helpful the psychic will be, in giving specific advice tailored to the clients individual circumstnaces and history. That... really sounds just like a talk therapy session, with a self-reflection prompt at the beginning, to me!When seeking any professional service, from tarot-reading to car-maintenance, trust people who ask you lots of questions and give you lots of options. Those who don't let you talk, and just you just one option - particularly if it's very expensive and not related to what problem you came in to talk about - should NOT be trusted.
