Very handy to have with you.
Works great for exterior trim work. Rounding corners and removing old paint. No cord, just use it when you need it and move on.

This is the 3rd belt sander I bought, gave away the other 2 and kept only this one!
I had two older belt sanders, both corded and the same 6" belt, but always had problems with the cord getting in the way and have several electric tape fixes on the cords. Wanted a powerful belt sander for sanding down the wood siding our our roof deck (Lion wood), to re-seal it with IPE oil (made a mistake and used Spar Varnish and it just peeled off).This tool worked great, I have several DeWalt batteries so as one ran out could just swap it out for another 20v battery and keep on going.Only bad thing is it's heavy, so working on a flat surface is easy, but holding it up on the wall was a bit tough, but liked the dust bag, caught most of the dust I created (still ware a mask), but easy to empty and good capasity.I like the tool, would recommend it especially if you have other DeWalt battery tools! (I have 3 DeWalt drills, and cordless saw).

tons of power
I have multilple 20/60 volt batteries so, when my 40+ year old corded Craftsman belt sander died, this seemed like a logical way to go. I'm glad I got it. It has lots of power, is super easy to load belts and adjust tracking and it is a pleasure to be uncorded. Any uncorded tool will get a lot more use due to the convenience. Others have truthfully noted that it uses up battery charges quickly, running for around 30-40 continuous minutes. So, it depends upon your intended use to judge if convenience versus run duration are the most important to you.I would buy this tool again.,

Good value for money, easy to use and works well.
Very easy to remove and fit new sandpaper belts and adjust the side movement and alignment. Works well. Only disappointment it only comes with 1 60 grit belt that is VERY rough so you need say a pack of 21in mixed grit belts available from Amazon in packs of 21. I used it to buff a small amount of 3 sticking doors and it worked great. Would recommend.

Works well! I used it to repair a small patch of floor in my kitchen so far. It does go through batteries quickly, but I needed to take breaks anyway.
