Polly Pocket Collector Compact with 3 Micro Dolls, Heritage Keepsake Collection Starlight Dinner Party

This is my first time buying a Polly Pocket reproduction. I am lucky enough to have several of mine from childhood, so it was fun to compare old versus new. And I have to say, the new is even better! The set seems extremely high-quality, nicely made and everything is well printed. Mine has no problem clicking shut, and the lights are so cute and I love the flickering fireplace. I feel like the older sets are a little more chintzy, but this new set seems really Robust and well-made. I love that it comes with three Pollys, All of which are just adorable. I will also say that all my older ones are made by Bluebird, and not by Mattel. I hope they continue to release more of these retro sets, they’ve done the perfect job of bringing classic Polly to life. I hope Mattel realizes that their are target demographic for these new sets are not children, but gay millennials who love nostalgia!

Very nice, would buy again

This purchase was mostly a nostalgic one! However my 9 year old was so happy since we have been putting off getting her a Polly Pocket since her younger siblings would choke on the tiny pieces. However this is the first one I have found that only has 3 small pieces, so its easy to keep track of with the young babies in the house, plus it can easily fit in the box and then store it away when she isn't playing with it. She loves to bring it to school since it's small enough to carry around and play with her friends.

I LOVE toys that come with their own case! My daughter LOVES toys with lots of little pieces! It’s a win win! It’s great to travel with, the lights are a great extra touch, perfect gift!

I read a handful of reviews before purchasing this set and it seemed like a fair amount of people had issues with the clasp closure and some factory paint issues. I decided to purchase the set as these issues are minor to me personally. That all said, my set just arrived and sure enough it doesn’t lock when closed and there are a couple of minor paint issues in the interior and one sadly one dolls faces. Given I knew these issues were possible I’m not super bothered, but for proper Polly Pocket collectors, imagine these issues would be a problem.

My girls always want Polly pockets and I only will get original like ones because the quality of new ones is so tacky

Was looking forward to this set to keep as part of my Polly pocket keepsake collection. However I had to return it in the end as the clasp is faulty and somehow the quality just doesn’t look as good as the 35th party celebration piece. It’s a shame and hope they can reproduce this with the same quality standard as the newer Polly pocket keepsake pieces.

Product arrived packaged very well and secure inside both a Mattel and Amazon box. I’m so very happy with this purchase. I just had to have it for my collection as I loved Polly pockets as a child. It looks so much better in person. Every detail looks great on mine. There are just a few spots where the paint could have been done better and on all the Polly dolls but other than that I have absolutely no complaints so far. I love this so much. I got a really good one. My compact opens and closes perfectly. The front doors open and close good and my compact stands up great. This is definitely a must have if you loved Polly pockets in the 90s!!

Product came packaged very well. I generally really like the product. Very nostalgic for me. Disappointed however in the poor paint job. You can see in the photos one of the dolls is poorly painted as well as some of the interior.

Firstly, this arrived in bashed and broken packaging. It was also sent in a plastic bag, so it's no wonder that it arrived in that way. Thankfully, this is for me and not a gift for someone else. But for future reference these items should be securely packaged in boxes. The actual toy itself is an absolute gem, a great tribute to the original. The lights and flickering fireplace adds to the magic.
