Greatest Works Jane Austen (Deluxe Hardbound Edition)

The product I received was very good. Study binding, proper pages and proper packaging. It is worthy of being a collectors item.

The hard cover is torn on one side. Golden boundary is dirty (almost grayish black). I'm highly disappointed with the condition of the book.P.S. the rating is for the condition of the book, not for the contents.

Was very much waiting for it, i was extremely disappointed, asked for a return I hope it would be better then this.UpdateWell I got it replaced it is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen and fell in love with it the second I saw it. Still having doubts, it is the best hardbound collection one xan have at the cheapest price, I found many book that were way more costlier but this is quiet good, and thanks to Amazon for its prompt response and replacing it in 2 days.

I was very excited to receive this product. The pages are beautiful gilded at the ends and the cover is very pretty. The only gripe I have is about the binding. It is very flimsy and it feels like the pages can come out anytime. The spine is also not firm and keeps sliding sideways. Please correct this.

I purchased this as a gift and the young bibliophile loved it.She was excited to dig into the book & coming out of it, told me how awesome she thought it was, hence, this gets my thumbs-up. (4 stars)Only thing was that, the book actually arrived wrinkled at the edges and made me almost discouraged to present it initially. I had to manually straighten as much as I could do myself. (Minus 1 star)I expect that the seller would work on this issue & ensure these books are off better quality because this one wasn’t that well made.

Though I did receive Jane Austin’s books I didn’t receive the book that was pictured. I received a boxed set of the books. I’m happy to finally have my own copies of her books but I was looking forward to having a beautifully decorated book to display on my bookshelf. There was some damage to the cardboard case that holds/displays the book set which most likely happened during shipping which isn’t the sellers fault.

Certainly not the quality I was hoping to add to my collection of classics. The paper is very poor quality and the majority of the pages are stuck together - in some cases very difficult to separate. One of the pages actually had a tear at the top. Given how thin the paper is, I doubt this book will last beyond one reading, even with very careful handling. Very disappointing. As a serious fan of Jane Austen, I was looking forward to reading and re-reading her stories. Oh well, I guess I will just have to find better quality copies of her individual stories at some future date.

I am very disapointed in the quality of this book for the price. I do not recommend

i cannot begin to say how bad this book is put together. the cover is incredibly thin and will fall apart if handled at all. the gold on the pages is a spray on glitter substance that comes off on your hand if you touch the pages at all. had to wash my hands after handling so get glitter off.
