Fairly new dishwasher had been smelling pretty awful as of late. I had cleaned out the traps and the smell was still there. Plumber came by and recommenced disconnecting the garbage disposal and cleaning it out. I bought these first to see if that could help. Ran a combination of the dishwasher tablets and garbage disposal tablets. Boom! The smell was no longer there. I may have to still take apart the garbage disposal. But hopefully this was the solution I needed. Highly recommend.

It's always scary to reach into the disposal to feel around for anything like a fork or cat toy before running it. Last time I did a check, I felt a slimy gross something growing in there despite running hot water and dish soap. I followed the directions on how to use the tablets. I was expecting some sort of drama of frothing and foaming, but it was very anti-climatic. It just sort ran and chomped and that was it, but it worked great on removing the gross slimy film and odor.

There is no “foaming” or any reaction that would look like the product is working, but seems to work well. Smell is pleasant without being overbearing.

Not sure what the point of this thing is. There was zero fizz, zero scent and my sink still looks gross so zero cleaning power and I used two (one at a time back to back cleaning sessions) just to make sure it wasn't user era or something. You're better off just pouring baking soda and vinegar down the drain followed by a few drops of essential oils for smell.
