how many pt. ( size for thickness ) is the paper ?

It is astounding that a company like Avery who is in the business of selling paper products cannot state on their packaging what thickness their product represents. People like us who would like to know the correct printer settings are left to our own devices. Rant over!The cards are promoted as "heavyweight", but that is not an exact weight. When I use them in my inkjet I use the 180 g setting. Only way to find out is try a couple closely related settings (card stock) and see which one works. With my Epson printer, nothing worked because the printer just could not handle anything heavier than 24 lb bond. Ditched it and got an HP. Life is good again, even though I had to compromise on print QUALITY with the HP.

is one side pre-printed with place for stamp and address?

No, there is nothing printed on either side.

Would this work for sending my own photos as postcards?

These will work but , They may not be glossy, also keep in mind if you are trying to write a message on back they MY smear or the pen / sharpie may not write. You can always write on a label then place on back! Hope this Helps!
