My housemate and I bought two of these chairs for our forthcoming summerhouse, for use when the garden has been landscaped in a few weeks' time. We wanted something durable and comfortable which didn't look like garden furniture, and which had the facility to put our feet up - we are both in our sixties. These chairs are really good looking and very comfortable. There is only one proviso: although the main, complicated mechanism in the bottom of the chairs is delivered ready assembled, there are some assembly requirements including the connection of the locking handle, and prior to that, the installation of the arms and backrest. Beware - the instructions are rubbish. They lead you to spend a good deal of time trying to do something that can't be done! And after you've spent many minutes trying to work out what is meant, and you've paused for a well earned glass of red, and glanced at the rest of the instructions casually, you find out what is wrong and can then proceed with the arms. Finally, the thing is assembled and you fix the locking handle and it doesn't work! Blasted thing! At this point we decided to leave tackling the other chair until the next day as we were boiling hot and it was fast approaching mealtime. The next day, still wondering why the locking mechanism wouldn't work, we tackled the second chair and had it done in no time, since we now simply ignored the incorrect and misleading instructions. Finally it was time to fit the locking handle - it worked! Brilliant! But why didn't the other one work? Time to examine whether there was a difference in the mechanisms........ It turned out that the mechanism has two screw holes under the chair but only one is to be used. The second chair had a screw in the upper hole and none in the lower hole but the first one had the screws reversed. Bingo, the assembled section was supplied wrongly. We removed the offending screw and then spent about an hour trying to fit the screw (and nut) in the upper hole which, given that the chair mechanism was tightly fixed, proved extremely difficult. I have quite small hands and it was a struggle to be able to apply the necessary pressure in what was a confined space. Anyone with larger hands would have had to take the chair apart to do it!So, although this chair is graded five stars, I had to issue the warning. If you buy one and get into trouble, feel free to ask me the question when you reach the final part of Step 2 in the instructions, or at Step 8. I will be happy to help.

Not yet used this for the purpose intended as my baby hasn't arrived yet but I have been testing it out in the meantime. The seat is comfortable, looks good (I like the mocha colour and light wood) and does what it's supposed to. The locking and recline adjust features are good ones, means you can also sit more upright without footstool if preferred. My only criticism (and reason for not giving top marks) is the footstool - in particular the height of it - I just don't feel that it sits at the level that would be most comfortable. It is much lower than the seat and I feel the seat pad then cuts in to the back of your legs a little, for me having it stand three inches taller would make all the difference (I will likely rest a cushion or two on top of it for optimum comfort).Little Devils Direct were a good company to deal with, no complaints there, kept me informed when delivery was delayed by courier.

We’ve now had this chair 3 years and nursed 2 children and it is so good, we will never part with it. The single best item you can buy for your nursery and makes nighttime feeding as painless as possible

great chair and footstool. also great customer service from Little Devils Direct when chair was damaged through poor delivery. Chair has been used a lot during past 3 months and is wearing very well and we wouldn't be without it. made all those night feeds much more comfortable. easy assembly.

Very, very comfortable. A wag of the toes with your feet on the stool gives a gentle rock on both the chair and stool. ZZzzzz

I have it only few days but I use it a lot. Great product, cushions are every comfortable, the material is good quality and the colour is as described. I am delighted with this purchase.

So far so good. Not only my 6 year old son but my mother and whole family loves it. Takes only 10 min to assemble.
